Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 80 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,945 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $23,647 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,201 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you're buying now but less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current softness may limit short-term upside, especially if the truck is priced above the market average. On the other hand, a well-kept example can still hold appeal because shoppers value the Ridgeline’s comfort and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Ridgeline’s comfort-first approach, clever storage, and strong owner approval, the 2017 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and prioritise whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
