The review summary points to reliable performance and a trouble-free ownership experience, which is encouraging if you want a used SUV you can count on. Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 50 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.66% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,221 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $15,283 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,700 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the XC60 more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you may want to focus on presentation, maintenance records, and condition to help your vehicle stand out. A model with strong owner satisfaction can still hold buyer interest better than one with weaker reviews.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Volvo XC60 makes the most sense if you want a well-liked luxury SUV and you can take advantage of the softer pricing in today's market. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on lower-priced listings near the bottom of the range; otherwise, focus on the cleanest example you can find, since condition and maintenance history will matter more than chasing the absolute cheapest option.
