That price movement suggests the 2016 RAM 2500 has held value reasonably well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A rising average price can support resale strength, especially when demand stays steady for heavy-duty trucks with strong capability. The fact that buyers continue to respond to this model year’s mix of utility and comfort helps keep it relevant in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 16.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.06% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with a more upscale feel, solid owner approval, and pricing that still reflects healthy demand. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, a nearby older year may be worth considering, but the 2016 is the better pick when you want a balance of capability, comfort, and market confidence.
