Used 2016 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearPeterborough, ON

How much does the 2016 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 12.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 115 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Sentra earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval for this model year. The overview frames it as a practical compact sedan with a more spacious interior and a more fuel-efficient powertrain than before, and the 2016 refresh added a more modern look with Nissan’s V-motion grille. If you want an affordable everyday sedan with a roomy cabin and efficiency-focused design, this Sentra fits that use case well. 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also makes clear that this generation’s main caution is its CVT-related reputation, so reliability depends heavily on how well a specific used example has been maintained and driven. For used buyers, that means the ownership risk is less about the car’s basic practicality and more about making sure you inspect the transmission carefully before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,646 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $8,646 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,865 CAD.

That price movement suggests the 2016 Sentra has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. Because the model is positioned as a practical, efficient compact sedan, its value story is likely to stay tied to affordability and everyday usefulness rather than premium features. A well-kept example bought near the lower end of the range should give you a better chance of limiting further value loss.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Sentra makes sense if you want a roomy, efficient compact sedan with a refreshed appearance and you can shop carefully for condition and price. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still work, but the 2016 is the better pick when you want the strongest mix of current value, owner approval, and market availability.
