There are 162 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You’ll likely appreciate the spacious interior, smooth driving experience, and the comfort, power, and cargo space that owners repeatedly mention. It also fits well if you want a practical three-row SUV with seating for seven and everyday versatility. With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find value in the market.

Is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable for daily use, especially when it comes to comfort and space over the long haul. The main caution for used buyers is to review maintenance history carefully, since early versions of this generation were associated with transmission concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,936 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $11,010 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,618 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service records. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can help, but the Pathfinder’s resale performance will still be shaped by how well it has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and owner satisfaction, the 2016 is the stronger value play. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s current market position.
