Used 2016 Hyundai Sonata for Sale nearSurrey, BC

How much does the 2016 Hyundai Sonata cost?

Prices have softened 15.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 131 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice when comparing condition, mileage, and equipment.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its features, comfort, and overall value, and many owners also appreciate the technology and the condition of the vehicle even after substantial mileage. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical family sedan that feels well equipped without stretching into premium-brand pricing. With 26.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a car that owners describe as reliable, with comments highlighting comfort, value, and a trouble-free ownership experience even after substantial mileage. That said, used buyers should still inspect carefully for long-term ownership risk, especially given the model’s known engine and theft-related concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Sonata?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,622 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $10,657 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,633 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the car is especially clean, well maintained, and well equipped. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk later because the model has already adjusted downward. Strong condition and a good service history matter more when a vehicle is already trading below its prior-year average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, comfort, and owner satisfaction, the 2016 is the better primary target. If your priority is simply finding the lowest entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as the more compelling choice when you can find a clean example at a good deal price.
