That price movement suggests the HR-V has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The model’s practical interior, good value reputation, and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand over time. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and maintain it properly, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a practical, value-oriented small crossover and you find a clean 2016 at a competitive price, it remains a strong choice.
