This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,217 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $20,217 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,749 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. The HR-V’s practical layout and broad appeal should help support demand, especially among shoppers who value efficiency and versatility over performance.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the most balanced choice, the 2019 HR-V is the one to target because it combines refreshed features, strong practicality, and a favourable price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2019 is the better pick when you want a more modern-feeling used HR-V without straying far from the model’s core value proposition.
