How much does the 2016 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 8.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 65 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing examples.

Is the 2016 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It was designed to bridge Acura’s former TSX and TL sedans, giving you a midsize luxury sedan with a broad appeal. You also get a well-equipped package for the class, including features such as four-wheel steering, LED headlights and brake lights, a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a seven-speaker audio system. If you want a comfortable, value-oriented luxury sedan with multiple powertrain choices, it fits that brief well. The market also shows 27.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 TLX has a strong equipment list and a comfort-focused mission, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and transmission behaviour, especially on V6 models. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is avoiding a poorly maintained example with expensive drivetrain issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile examples.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 65 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,455 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $16,184 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,761 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make resale timing more important if you plan to sell later. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation compared with purchasing at a higher point in the cycle. A model with broad appeal and strong equipment can still attract interest, but future resale will depend on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 TLX is the better path if you want a well-equipped luxury sedan with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
