Used 2016 Acura TLX for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2016 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 22.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 66 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2016 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating, and it was designed as a midsize luxury sedan that bridges Acura’s former TSX and TL models. It offers a rare amount of choice for the segment, with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder or a 3.5-litre V6, plus available SH-AWD on V6 models. The four-cylinder version is the better fit if you want strong fuel efficiency, while the V6 suits you if you want more performance and available all-wheel drive. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a healthy share of attractive inventory to consider.

Is the 2016 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Acura TLX has a mixed reliability story in the sense that it offers a lot of equipment and a comfortable, well-rounded driving experience, but some versions came with a troublesome nine-speed automatic. If you’re shopping used, that makes condition, service history, and transmission behaviour especially important to evaluate before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every good example to sit around for long.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 66 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,420 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $14,420 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,673 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the TLX more appealing to used buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you buy at the right number, you reduce your exposure to further depreciation. A well-kept example with the right equipment and a clean history should still be easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 TLX is the better pick if you want a well-equipped luxury sedan at a softer used price and you’re comfortable shopping carefully for the right example. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced choice with strong value in today’s market.
