Used 2016 Acura MDX for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2016 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 15.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 139 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfortable ride, effective safety features, and overall performance, while also highlighting the spacious interior and advanced features that make it a practical family choice. The overview also fits that use case well: you get a three-row luxury crossover with a polished feature set, everyday usability, and a comfort-first character. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free for many shoppers, with strong confidence in its long-term ownership experience. That said, some owners mention transmission shifting concerns, so a careful test drive and service-history review matter for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a poorly maintained example rather than the model’s overall reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,983 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $16,286 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,306 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the MDX easier to buy now but may also mean a softer exit price later if you sell in the near term. For a future seller, the current trend implies you should be realistic about pricing and expect buyers to compare your listing closely against similarly equipped rivals. Strong demand for a well-equipped, family-friendly three-row luxury SUV should still help, especially if your vehicle has a clean history and good maintenance records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 MDX makes sense if you want a well-equipped, comfortable three-row luxury SUV and you value a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year with lower asking prices may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains a strong choice when you want a balanced mix of comfort, practicality, and owner approval.
