The 2015 Jeep Cherokee stands out as a compact SUV that tried to blend everyday usability with genuine Jeep hardware. It used a front-wheel-drive-based drivetrain and lacked solid axles, so it was not as capable off-road as the older Cherokee, but Jeep still offered a low-range transfer case on Sport, Latitude, and Limited trims and made it standard on the Trailhawk, which also included a rear differential lock. For 2015, Jeep added auto-stop/start for the V6, while the four-cylinder was updated with emissions changes and now met Partial Zero Emission Vehicle standards. Standard equipment included LED taillamps, Bluetooth, air conditioning, two USB ports, an aux jack, an SD card reader, and remote keyless entry, while the tech package centred on a 5-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5.0 infotainment software and voice recognition. Safety equipment was also broad for the class, with front knee airbags and rear side airbags standard, and features such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors with cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and a backup camera available on higher trims.
Its appeal was not just in the hardware list, but in the way Jeep spread comfort and convenience across the range. The Limited brought leather upholstery with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 8.4 and SiriusXM radio, while the Trailhawk added red tow hooks, white-lettered all-terrain tyres, a 2.5-centimetre lift, revised bumpers, and a Rock mode for Selec-Terrain. The main drawback was that the base 2.4-litre four-cylinder was described as harsh and underpowered, and fuel economy was not a strong point, which helps explain why the Cherokee’s strengths were often more about character, capability, and equipment than outright refinement.

I love this car, the heated seats and stearin wheel are one of my favorites. The moon roof that opens up into the back seats is beautiful. The fact I can restart my car in the morning is a time saver

I finally decided on the Jeep Cherokee. I had looked at the Grand Cherokee, but there were recalls on the 2014's with no resolution, so I thought it best to stay away from the 2015's as well. I decided to drive the regular Cherokee V6 (Limited 4x4), it has all the room I need with no kids. I was very impressed with how solid it felt and "tight". I drove the Kia and Toyota equivalents, but they both seemed too "splashy" to me. I am very happy with my new Jeep. My Cherokee has the "stop/start" option which is very interesting and I am liking it. This technology has been in Europe for 30 years. The way it works is: once you have driven the car at lest a 1/4 mile or so, the stop/start will engage once you come to a complete stop with your foot on the brake. Once at a complete stop, the Jeep engine will turn off, the tach goes to 0. The radio/heat/air, etc will stay on. Once you begin to take your foot off the brake the engine starts immediately and off you go. The first week using it may seem odd, but it will save you gas. There is no hesitation at all. You can choose to turn off your "stop/start" with the push of a button if desired. The Jeep Cherokee also has nitrogen filled tires which gives a much smoother ride than regular air. If necessary, you can top-off or fill the tires with regular air. I am keeping the nitrogen for the better ride. I am still getting used to the back-up camera, which is a must have in any SUV/CUV. This is my first 4x4 and look forward to using it in the snow and on the gravel roads in Boone and Blowing Rock of North Carolina.

My brother has a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It is an excellent vehicle , on and off road. Unfortunately the cost of even a used one is too much for me so I have to continue driving my old Subaru.
