Measuring 5,060 millimetres in length with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, the Ioniq 9 offered impressive interior volume, despite its aerodynamic focus. The design featured a swooping roofline and a unique rear end, with LED taillights wrapping around the tail's circumference. Available in seven paint colours, the Ioniq 9 offered trim-specific options, with wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches. Inside, the Ioniq 9 boasted a spacious and airy cabin, with flat floors and a sliding centre console for enhanced accessibility. The interior featured high-quality materials, although some plastic elements were noted, and the seats, while soft, lacked thigh support.

Our Macan S test vehicle was equipped with a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6, generating 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package. All Macans featured a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission and a fully variable AWD system. The Macan S offered a thrilling driving experience, with precise handling and impressive grip, thanks to its performance tires and adaptive damping. However, the brakes required a firm push to initiate a stop, and fuel consumption was noted at 13.0 L/100 km.

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 came with a 110.3-kWh battery pack on the e-GMP platform, offering a range of power outputs depending on the trim. The base Essential trim featured a single rear-mounted 160-kW motor with 215 horsepower, while the Preferred AWD and Preferred AWD+ trims offered 303 hp and 422 hp, respectively.
