I liked everything about this car or I wouldnt have kept it for 20 years.I really liked the way it handled in the winter on snow and ice.This is a sharp looking, good performance and I wouldnt be selling it now, if my physical allowed me to get in and out of it with no discomfort.Jun 20, 2012

This car is an absolute blast to drive. I love taking this thing out for a spin whenever i get the chance. Its quick but the handling is easy to figure out (the faster you go the easier it is to handle)Feb 10, 2011

This car is REALLY fun. Its one hell of a ride, and even though they usually need work they are hell on wheels. The Tsi model is definately what you want. You have to run premium fuel in it but once tuned right you can usually sqweeze 30+ mgh out of them. I would not recommend this vehicle to those without mechanic skills unless you have deep pockets to shell out loot for a professional to do the work on it.Sep 03, 2010

Best sports car and performance for a relatively low price. This car is easy
and cheap to modify and handles great. With the AWD it is the perfect car

Just bought this 92 Talon a few months ago and i still love it!. Going to be taken appart soon to be upgraded with stronger parts. My goal is to reach at least 300 WHP in another month. Driving this car is great! Entered it in ice racing this winter and it was a great car to compete with.Mar 13, 2010

Well, its got a ported 16g turbo, full turbo back exhaust. Lots of supporting mods. Running 24 lbs of boost daily. Horrible gas mileage. Worth it in the end. Alwesome handing and pretty quick. Thats why i have owned 5 DSM'sDec 10, 2009

great car to build for speed or road race. you work on them about 80 percent of time you own it. the interior is nice but the outsides people hate becuase theyre old, you'll spend more money on repiars than gas and if your like me gas wont last long eitherOct 03, 2009

I really loved this car, Handles great, great mileage, agressive looking, It performs really good with the low compression piston and 14psi on the 6 bolt block, It's a blast to hit second gear, Only downside is head room and trunk space, but this isn't a car to lug a lot of stuff that's for sure, Save that for your Big lincon or caddi or suv.
Cost of ownership is decent if you can find one to revive like I did, the matinence is pretty high considering any car with a turbo is. Jul 27, 2009

car may have looked normal but the was fast. she had
a beautiful engine with a turbo, front mount
intercooler, intake. she had her name across the hood

The most fun car that I have owned so far. It's a quick little car that is very fun to drive. You can find these cars for a pretty affordable price, but prepare to drop some cash into it from past years of kids beating on it. Jul 21, 2009

My first real car that I paid for. Raced it a few times against a friend with a 90's RS Camaro. Loved how the instruments were layout in the car. Only thing wrong with it is the timing belt didn't last that long.Jun 10, 2009

It will blow most 8 cylinder cars off the road, still gets upper 20 mpg's on the highway, it is a tuners best friend, the handling is superb especially because its all-wheel drive. That also means I can put down a 1.7 second 60 foot time in a quarter while some cars are still pleading for traction. May 19, 2009

I have had my talon for a week and the only thing that is shot is the power steering but i love my little car. This is my first car and it has a bigger turbo than the stock but i will make it work. and the interior is actually kinda ncie but i am re doing it this weekend or next.May 05, 2009

Performance - strong, smooth powerband
Build Quality - interior cheap because it's a DSM, motor is a tank
Appearance - nothing special, make it inconspicuous
Cost of Ownership - an empty wallet unites all DSM owners

Do you remember when American car companies were turbocharging japanese engines? Do you remember the Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon, or Mitsubishi Eclipse? I do- and that was the car to beat. This was also my favorite year in terms of performance. With a pretty solid aftermarket, you could make one of these little guys quite the nutty little machine for a minimal cost. They handled great, they were practical and they made big V8s look stupid. The 1992 DSMs ran a 1.9 inline-four that only pumped out 190mph. The All-Wheel-Drive version was great on the streets and track but it was the front wheel drive turbo that became the true track monster. For only $1500 and some simple work, a person could turn a quick car into something that could outrun Corvettes and 911s in the 1/4 mile.
Then again, this wasn't a bad car to just own as a regular daily driver.Mar 15, 2008

I love this car. It handles like a go cart and goes very, very fast. This car feels like a race car. The cockpit is wrapped around the driver, and you can tell this car is meant to be driven. It feels like you're in a jet fighter. You feel like the car is a part of you... You feel everything and all of your driver input causes an instant reaction. The handling is excellent, and it is very hard to get yourself into trouble in this car. The car is also kind of rare now, so it feels like you're driving something a little exclusive. This car still gets lots of compliments, and it's 15 years old! I would recommend these cars to anyone.Jan 17, 2008
