its a fairly good car body coulda been in better shape but im working on it its got a gst front bumper and a gs rear going on it along with gst side skirts tranny suck's right now but the short throw is a plus! its got a obx fuel regulator and the battery is relocated in the hatch Apr 11, 2012

Its a DSM, always something broken. Pretty quick stock and fairly cheap to beef up. love the stock two-tone paint. Its got a pretty low center of gravity having also been lowered 2" and has excellent handling. Very unreliable and not family- friendly. Should be a 2 seater.Apr 05, 2012

The car itself is fun and sporty. If you know what you are doing, they can be easy to own. The cars break down quite a bit, usually just little stuff. But they can be easily modified and made faster/safer.Aug 19, 2010

performance- acceleration is kinda bad unless you brake boost b/c the turbo has to have time to spool up and that could possibly hurt me in a race: braking is very good: the car handles fairly well, drifting is more fun: the talon is in the process of receiving repairs, and performance parts: interior is alright, exterior is missing a few bolts to hold the fenders down so they stick out more than normal: i have a couple sensors out so my mpg sucks, this car is babied, its always on time with all maintenance and filling fluids: this car is very fun to drive. even all stock it blows most ricers away if you want to find out more let me know. txt @ 567-712-4763Jun 07, 2010

Performance - Above average acceleration, quality suspension, ample braking. Build Quality - Very high maintenance, parts are very expensive and repair jobs can be difficult to do yourself. I really liked the fact that the vehicle was awd and turbo charged, it made it very fun to drive plus the interior design felt like a cockpit of a plane so. Overall I would buy this car again especially since it was fast.Mar 10, 2010

just love the boost in the morning, with all wheel drive and turbo to boot. Whats not fun about that? Yeah its an Eagle but has the blood of an Eclipse with the 4g63 at its heart. What more do you want from a DSM?Feb 19, 2010

Great handling car, but poor motor reliability. Loved the style and performance, expensive and annoying to have to deal with the drive-train issues. If it wasn't for the motor being so unreliable I would still be driving this car today. Feb 19, 2010

There was a preety good amount of work done to the engine:Turbo Header, Hypertech High-compression pistons,Rebuilt Head,custom 3 inch full exhaust system,Short throw shift,Strut tower brace, new hoses, new throttle kit, etc. There was rust issues under the car espeaciy on the front struts, the rear struts were replaced. As far as appearance the car was solid inside and out but that strut towers rusting was a PROBLEM. Due to the performance upgrades the gas mileage suffered a bit not a lot though. Because the engine is a inline 4 cylinder they are more complex to work on than you may think. I had a blast in this car. I was able to beat most civics, integras, Tiburons,even keep up with Stealths and 240sx's.Jan 16, 2010

I like that when you launch it your vision blurs for a second and then your at 60mph. I dislike that it breaks down all the time. Thats what you get when you pull alot more power from a car than the manufacturer originally intended.Dec 19, 2009

Fun Factor- So far i think its a pretty fun lil car. It has some up and go. Its pretty fun to drive Performance- I have some aftermarket performance done and it makes for some good performance Appearance- the stock spoiler in my eyes is really not that nice looking. The body kit is not the best looking but its not to bad. Cost of Ownership- These are not bad on gas mileage but once u have a bigger turbo it goes through gas pretty fast. I personally love this car, but im into turboed cars and awd and going fast. its got the 4G63 engine which is the same as the lancer evos. its got a 14g turbo instead of the 16g on the evos though. its a blast to drive, but at a pretty high price of keeping it that way. I really like the styling except the tsi spoilers, i have a gsx spoiler on it and i think it looks way better. its a 95 so it has some sqeaks and rattles, all pretty easily fixable though. brakes seem to go out fast on these cars, but if you do preventative and routine maintenance itll last for awhile. overall really good car, daily driver or for racing, or both. Performance-handles wel(lowered), shifts well, sounds pretty good, no balls Build quality- its built pretty well, some noises but nathin bad, transmission is weak and the computer location is stupid exterior-sexy lines cost of ownership-alot of maintenance is required, gas mileage could be a lot better fun factor-although it is not fast standard is fun to drive, the automatic is sluggish, good sound with minor exhaust work.Sep 19, 2009

Either you love or hate them. They are easily modded and the stock motors support up to about 400hp, and they're fast as hell, and with AWD a ton of fun. Unfortunately they are also horribly unreliably but that doesn't matter, once you've had one you'll always have one. Bottom line It's a DSM, all you car guys know what i meanSep 15, 2009

I like everything this car is about and has as options... They should make more cars like this... Turbo AWD is the way to go. Even fuel economy is not that bad. Way better than a truck and just about as good as my Saturn ION 3.Aug 28, 2009

Almost done. When completed. Were talking full custom interior and sound sytem. Performance upgrades and wild cosmetics will make this a stand out everywhere. This car has great acceleration but top end could be better. Nothing a bigger turbo can't fix.Jul 14, 2009

Whats not to like about an all wheel drive turbo charged car for under 3 grand? mine has just over 220 hp, not much done to it but fast as hell, takes care of all the hondas in town. handles like a dream, has 150k and still going strong.Dec 07, 2008

great car. some slight problems with the build of them. the shock towers like to rot out of these cars alot. sort of costly to maintain but very amazing on gas. car is really fun to drive has really good acceleration and awesome handling especially with some strut bars to help stabilize. Bought it in the summer of 2007, great deal, nice looking car, fast muffler, rollin on 17` rims. Pretty low k for a 1995. Has needed some repairs but thats that same for all older vehicles, so fun to drive, very very quick even though its only a esi! yeahhOct 03, 2008

Lot of work to be done as previous owner of this baby left it out in the cold and hot baking sun resulting in a pretty lame paint job and dirty contaminated insides. Still in process of doing a major tune-up, cleaning. Very fun car to drive, couldn't be any happier to be an owner of a '95 talon as my first car.Sep 30, 2008

I cant really say much about my car because i dont really know much about it. one thing i dont really like about it tho is the road noise. it's really fun to drive cuz it's a standard and it's very good on mileage. The interior is in good shape and the exterior is too. except the bumper but that is always the first thing to go on these cars. they're so low to the ground and plastic. The handling tho is really good because it is so low to the ground. i love the color of it. at first i wasnt so sure about it but then i saw it in other colors and didnt like them. black and dark blue are the only other ones that look decent but i think red is the best color for this car. And no i'm not jsut saying it because taht is the color of mine, i've just seen others. oh and the pic i have of it is not really mine. i WISH it looked that shiny and new. Sep 15, 2008

Great for a race car, or weekend car. Not so great for an every day reliable car. 99 eclipse conversion, fully built, 60-1 turbo, around 400 hp. 6,000 miles, 123k on body, over 12 grand in parts. I've wanted this car since my dad brought home a brochure with the black TSI Talon on the front! When it was bought 5 years ago with 130,000 miles it ran smooth. I had to learn how to drive a stick just to own it but I figured it was excellent practice for when I buy a Ferrari Testarosa. Throughout the years I've had to fix a few problems with a leaking head gasket, radiator, water pump, and the catalytic converter... all normal things that should go with a car that's 13 years old. And he still purrs like a kitten, sometimes so quiet I get nervous. Now it has over 180,000 miles and I'd still sell my first born to keep it running!Jun 05, 2008

I bought this car stock , and it was less than impressive in every aspect. It had a poor build quality, mechanical issues, handled like poo, and was quite slow for a factory turbo car. It was not until after I had done power and handling modifications that the car became somewhat respectable.Mar 14, 2008
