Used MINI Cooper for Sale near Connaught, ON

How much does the MINI Cooper cost in today's market?

Used MINI Cooper prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The MINI Cooper's current nationwide average price is $22,565 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $20,201 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the MINI Cooper is a strong choice if you want a small car with personality, lively handling, and a premium-feeling cabin. The all-generations owner rating is 4.61/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the MINI Cooper for its fun driving experience, sporty handling, and distinctive styling. Many also like its peppy performance and responsive feel in city driving, along with the model’s customisable, premium-flavoured character.

Expert reviews rate the 2020 and 2025 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are the tight rear-seat space, limited cargo room, and the higher ownership costs that can come with a more complex small car. Recent expert reviews also point to infotainment frustration, transmission-shift limitations, and a high starting price as the biggest compromises.

31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are MINI Cooper models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently praise the MINI Cooper for its fun driving character, sporty handling, and distinctive styling. Across the model years in the data, that personality is a major part of why shoppers keep coming back to it.

Owners rate the MINI Cooper between 3.67 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is worth factoring in because earlier versions can bring higher maintenance needs, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used MINI Cooper?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning.
• Infotainment: Mini’s latest Operating System 9 infotainment software with a round 9.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad.

Which MINI Cooper trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Cooper offers these trims:

• Cooper C: The entry point, with 161 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic; it suits you if you want the lowest starting price in the range.
• Cooper S: The best-value pick for most shoppers, adding 201 horsepower and stronger acceleration while keeping the same playful chassis character.
• John Cooper Works: The performance-focused choice, with 228 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque, and added performance and convenience features for buyers who want the most capability.
• Cooper Convertible: The open-air version, starting at a higher price and bringing the MINI’s character with a drop-top layout.
• Cooper S Convertible: The most powerful convertible version, pairing the stronger engine with the open-air body style.
• John Cooper Works Convertible: The top performance convertible, combining the highest-output setup with the roof-down experience.

What MINI Cooper do most buyers choose?

The MINI Cooper years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

Higher-listing years tend to be the most popular because they give you more choice on colour, trim, and equipment. They also usually make it easier to compare prices and find a version that fits your budget.

What is the MINI Cooper's resale value?

Most MINI Cooper model years are down year over year, which can work in your favour if you are shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle years, while a couple of newer years are holding closer to flat or even edging up. That makes the recent-model market especially interesting if you want newer features without paying new-car pricing.

The 2022 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2021, 2022, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
