Used 2025 MINI Cooper for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2025 MINI Cooper cost?

Prices have softened 6.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 113 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2025 MINI Cooper earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

It is redesigned for 2025, grows a bit inside and out, and still weighs less than 1,400 kilograms, so you get the compact, lively character that defines the nameplate. The cabin is spacious for its size, and the Cooper S adds a potent turbocharged four-cylinder that makes the car especially entertaining to drive.

The trade-offs are clear: the infotainment is frustrating to use, and you do not get independent gear shifting without paying extra. The base price is also high for the class.

With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop carefully rather than rush.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 MINI Cooper is presented as a redesigned model with a lighter curb weight and a strong emphasis on driving enjoyment, which usually helps a car feel durable and confidence-inspiring over time. Its turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic are described as smooth and responsive, and the car’s overall character suggests a well-sorted package rather than a fragile one.

The performance notes also point to solid overall fuel economy for the class, which can help reduce day-to-day ownership strain. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure any recall-related work has been completed before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin brings fresh design and materials, a panoramic sunroof on non-convertible four-door models, standard heated front seats, and a standard heated steering wheel. The base setup is still quite feature-rich, but you should check whether the specific car has the optional faux leather seat material and pop-up head-up display.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 161 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, while the Cooper S increases output to 201 hp and 221 lb-ft. Both use front-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is optional.
• Infotainment: You get a 9.4-inch touchscreen with Operating System 9, plus Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and dual-zone climate control. The system is described as laggy, so make sure it responds the way you want.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2025 MINI Cooper returns a Natural Resources Canada combined rating of between 7.3 and 7.9 L/100 km depending on configuration.

Which 2025 MINI Cooper trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Cooper is offered in 4 trim levels: Cooper C three-door, Cooper C four-door, Cooper S three-door, Cooper S four-door.

Here's the short version:

• Cooper C three-door: This is the least expensive way into the lineup and makes the most sense if you want the MINI experience at the lowest price. It gives you the redesigned look, the new infotainment setup, and the core small-car character without stretching for extra power.
• Cooper C four-door: Choose this if you want the same entry-level setup but need easier rear-seat access and a bit more everyday flexibility. It is the better fit if you regularly carry passengers.
• Cooper S three-door: This is the best-value trim if you care most about driving enjoyment. The extra torque and stronger acceleration make the Cooper feel much more alive, and the expert notes suggest the added performance is worth the price increase.
• Cooper S four-door: Pick this if you want the stronger engine and still need the practicality of the four-door body style. It is the most balanced choice for buyers who want speed and usability together.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning, while adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some patience and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,746 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $39,025 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,775 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside exposure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The strongest resale prospects will likely come from well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper safe?

The 2025 MINI Cooper has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

In Canada, it comes standard with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality is optional.

One important caveat is that a recall has already been issued for the integrated braking system, so you should confirm that any used example has had the remedy completed before you buy.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is redesigned for 2025, with all-new infotainment tech, a larger cabin, and the same playful MINI character.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the MINI Cooper with the updated design and tech, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the softer market and lower current average price make this a good year to shop carefully and look for a well-priced example.
