Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing collection of advanced driving assistance systems, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights.

Which Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Civic offers these trims:

• LX: The entry point to the lineup, with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, CVT, and the standard tech and safety suite; it suits you if you want the Civic formula at the lowest price.
• Sport: Adds a more expressive look and feel, including 18-inch wheels and a shiny exhaust outlet tip, while keeping the same core powertrain; this is the best-value trim if you want a nicer presentation without moving far up the price ladder.
• Sport Hybrid: Adds the two-motor hybrid powertrain for stronger efficiency and more impressive overall performance, making it a smart pick if fuel economy is a priority.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: Adds the most upscale tech and convenience content, including larger displays, Google built-in, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, and the premium audio setup; choose this if you want the most fully equipped Civic sedan.
• Si: Adds a turbocharged gas engine and manual transmission for a more enthusiast-focused driving experience.
• Type R: The performance flagship of the hatchback range, positioned above the rest of the lineup for buyers who want the most extreme Civic character.

What Honda Civic do most buyers choose?

The Honda Civic years with the most listings are 2023, 2021, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a strong mix of newer design, broad availability, and pricing that still sits below the newest model years. They also give you more choice across trims and body styles, which makes it easier to find the right Civic for your budget and needs.

What is the Honda Civic's resale value?

Most Civic model years in the table are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That creates a favourable setup for used buyers, especially if you want a newer Civic without paying new-car pricing. The smallest changes are concentrated among the older and newest examples, while the middle of the range shows the steepest drops.

The 2015, 2026, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
