What should I look for when buying a used Dodge Charger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Active Driving Assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with vulnerable road user detection, active lane management, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada’s fuel economy estimates land at 14.1 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.0 on the highway, and 11.8 combined for the 2026 Dodge Charger R/T. In the Scat Pack, expect to burn 14.5 L/100 km city, 10.0 highway, and 12.5 combined.

Which Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Charger offers these trims:

• Charger R/T: The entry powertrain brings 420 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission, making it the starting point for buyers who want the Charger’s new-generation performance and standard all-wheel drive.
• Charger Scat Pack: This version steps up to 550 hp, adds standard all-wheel drive, and brings the most aggressive performance character in the gas-powered range.
• Charger Daytona R/T: The electrified R/T sends 456 horsepower to all four wheels and suits buyers who want the electric side of the lineup.
• Charger Daytona Scat Pack: The top electrified version delivers 630 hp and is the most powerful Charger named in the data.
• Plus models: These add the larger 16-inch display, wireless charging pad, and built-in navigation, making them the best-value choice for shoppers who want more convenience and tech.

What Dodge Charger do most buyers choose?

The Dodge Charger years with the most listings are 2022, 2023, and 2021.

Higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing spread to work with, and a better chance of finding the trim and condition you want. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often, which helps keep the market active.

What is the Dodge Charger's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, and several have seen sharp double-digit drops. That pattern is good news for used buyers because it creates more room to find value, especially in recent model years. A couple of years are moving up, which shows that some newer Chargers are still commanding strong demand.

The 2023, 2014, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Dodge Charger safe?

• 2026: 6/10
• 2023: 5/10
• 2022: 6/10
• 2021: 9/10
• 2020: 8/10

The 2026 Charger comes standard with Active Driving Assist, a technology package that can manage acceleration and braking and can also keep the car centred in its lane.
