New & Used 2026 Volvo XC60 for Sale near Saint-Barthélemy, QC

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 a good car?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 earns a 6.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It’s a strong fit if you want a compact luxury crossover that feels current thanks to the new Volvo Car UX infotainment system, the 11.2-inch touchscreen, and Google Gemini integration. The XC60 also leans into the qualities that make it appealing in the first place: stylish design, premium interior materials, and comfortable seats.

The trade-offs are clear, though. Our experts call out sluggish performance and poor fuel economy, and the driver-assistance tech is not a class leader. Even so, it remains an undeniably comfortable and luxurious choice if you value a refined interior and updated in-car technology over outright performance or efficiency.

37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 reliable?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 is presented as a familiar, well-equipped luxury crossover with thoughtful updates, and its powertrain uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with regenerative braking. The new infotainment setup and complimentary four-year Digital Services subscription also add everyday convenience.

On the dependability side, the XC60’s performance is described as modest rather than urgent, and the power delivery can feel uneven because of turbo lag or transmission response. The infotainment and Google built-in features are described as functioning flawlessly, which is a good sign for day-to-day usability.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a luxury SUV with some complexity, so you’ll want to be careful about maintenance history and any expensive options.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Volvo XC60?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XC60 B5 comes in Core, Plus, and Ultra trim levels, with Black Edition also offered on Ultra. The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, while the Ultra brings the richer cabin materials and higher-end feel that suit this SUV best.
• Powertrain: The B5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 247 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque, an eight-speed automatic, all-wheel drive, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It’s not especially quick, and the power delivery can feel delayed.
• Safety package: Pilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist, and the XC60 also includes forward collision warning that can detect large animals, pedestrians, and cyclists, plus oncoming collision mitigation braking and intersection braking assist. The system is not especially sophisticated, and the SUV lacks hands-free highway driving and low-speed traffic jam assist.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.2-inch touchscreen, Volvo Car UX software, Google built-in, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Gemini, Google Play, remote app services, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Apple CarPlay requires a wired connection.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the review loop returned 9.5 L/100 km.

Which 2026 Volvo XC60 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 is offered in 3 trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• Core: This is the entry point, but the XC60’s appeal is really about its upscale cabin and updated tech, so this is the trim most likely to feel stripped back relative to the vehicle’s strengths.
• Plus: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value without chasing the most expensive version.
• Ultra: This is the best-value trim if you want the XC60 at its most polished, with the richer interior presentation that makes this SUV feel special.

The XC60’s safety tech is standard, but the driver-assistance system is not especially impressive, so don’t expect the trim ladder to solve that weakness.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 safe?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 did not earn a Top Safety Pick or a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and five-star ratings in each individual crash test except for rollover resistance.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The XC60 comes with a broad set of safety features, including forward collision warning that can detect large animals, pedestrians, and cyclists, oncoming collision mitigation braking, intersection braking assist, and Pilot Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist. Volvo also offers factory-installed integrated rear booster child seats as an option.

The caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is not especially polished. The lane-keeping and adaptive cruise functions can be inconsistent, and the system lacks hands-free highway driving and low-speed traffic jam assist.
