New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale near Iroquois Falls A, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It stays focused on what you want from a family-oriented three-row SUV: a comfortable cabin, plenty of cargo space, and plenty of passenger space. It also adds a more truck-like look without changing the basic formula, so if you liked the Pilot’s established strengths, this update should feel familiar rather than disruptive.

The main trade-off is the lack of a more fuel-efficient model, since there is no hybrid option. Another drawback is that the Pilot is still fundamentally the same as before, so the 2026 changes are more evolutionary than transformative.

With 31.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar, carryover-style SUV, and that usually helps reduce the risk of surprises for used buyers. Its unchanged structure and established mechanical layout should also make it easier to shop with confidence if you want a proven family hauler.

Its 3.5-litre V6 and 10-speed automatic are described as confident and adequate, with no major drivability concerns called out beyond occasional subtle downshifts and slight lurches when coming to a stop. Honda also says the Pilot’s tech and safety systems carry over in a familiar way, which supports the sense that this is a known quantity rather than a risky redesign.

For long-term ownership, the biggest concern is not dependability so much as the lack of a hybrid alternative, which may matter if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years and want lower running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry Sport trim is the most basic version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The EX-L should satisfy most shoppers with its removable second-row seat and front-row leather seats, while the Touring adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. The TrailSport is the outlier if you want decent off-road abilities, and the Black Edition sits at the top of the range.
• Powertrain: Every Pilot uses the same 3.5-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard in Canada. There is no hybrid option, so efficiency is not the Pilot’s strength.
• Safety package: All trims come with Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: All trim levels get a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but you need to move up to the EX-L for a wireless phone charger.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated at 11 L/100 km combined in the Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in the Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the full Pilot powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, the 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, and the full Honda Sensing safety suite. It makes sense if you want the Pilot’s core strengths at the lowest price.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the removable second-row seat and front-row leather seats, plus the wireless phone charger. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort and value, this is the one to target.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s decent off-road abilities and are willing to accept the least efficient fuel-consumption figure in the lineup.
• Touring: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate, but the price jump is harder to justify unless those features matter to you.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim if you want the most upscale presentation, but it is more about appearance and equipment than a different driving experience.

All trims include Honda Sensing, while all but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot’s crash-test results were not available at the time of writing, but the previous model was named a Top Safety Pick by IIHS and earned a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All Pilot trims come with Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can also be sensitive if you drift from the lane markings.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals. It keeps the Pilot’s practical family focus while adding a more truck-like look and larger standard screens.
• Consider the 2025 if: It offers the same roomy, practical formula with standard AWD and a simpler, proven setup.
• The bottom line: Buy the 2026 if you want the updated look and tech, especially if you value the Pilot’s familiar strengths. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 remains the sensible alternative because it preserves the core Pilot experience.
