Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander is a practical, comfort-focused midsize SUV built around roomy packaging, upscale touches, and a calm ride. It is aimed at you if you want a family-duty vehicle that prioritises everyday usefulness, peace of mind, and a low-stress driving experience over excitement.

Its appeal is strongest if you value a standard safety suite, available gas and hybrid powertrains, and a cabin that is designed to handle regular family use without much fuss. The Highlander’s market position is also supported by 41.3% of listings being priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander carries a long reputation for reliability, and that is one of its main selling points. It is the kind of SUV that is meant to do family-duty work consistently, with comfort and practicality taking priority over drama.

For used buyers, that reputation can reduce long-term ownership risk if you want a vehicle that is more about dependable day-to-day use than novelty.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander?

It looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you are shopping this model year, especially if you are willing to compare listings carefully and move quickly on a strong example.

• Deal availability: 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 75 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,371 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $56,717 CAD sits slightly below last year's $58,974 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also suggests the market has adjusted downward from where it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, the Highlander’s strong reputation and steady demand should help support resale value, even if today’s pricing is a bit more favourable to buyers. For a future seller, the key is to buy at a sensible price so you have more room to preserve value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.83% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and the Highlander’s comfort-first appeal, the 2025 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the benefits of shopping this one.
