Used 2025 Honda Pilot for Sale nearWaterloo, ON

How much does the 2025 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 12.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 160 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Pilot earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the roomy interior, smooth ride, and generous cargo space, and they also like the comfortable seating and strong sense of security from the safety ratings. For families, the practical layout and easy day-to-day usability are recurring positives.

The trade-offs are that the technology looks outdated and the front passenger seat lacks adjustment, while the lower trims do not bring much in the way of luxury features. That means the Pilot makes the most sense if you value space, comfort, and straightforward utility over a flashy cabin.

With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still enough market activity to find a competitive example.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly highlighting the Pilot as a vehicle they feel good about living with over the long term. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of durability by describing it as a practical daily driver that is easy to live with and safe for transporting your family.

Honda’s warranty coverage is average, so used buyers should still pay attention to service history and overall condition. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether you can live with the Pilot’s fuel use and older-feeling technology.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport is affordable but does not have many appealing amenities, so the leather-lined EX-L is the minimum upgrade worth considering. The Black Edition adds black wheels, blacked-out exterior trim, black badges, black leather seats with red perforation accents, red contrast stitching, red ambient lighting, and embossed Black Edition details.
• Powertrain: Every Pilot uses a 3.5-litre V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard i-VTM4 AWD in Canada. It makes 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the TrailSport gets extra ground clearance.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The test vehicle also had parking sensors and a multi-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The Black Edition uses a 10.2-inch digital gauge panel and a 9-inch touchscreen. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, SiriusXM, text-messaging support, HondaLink, Wi-Fi access, navigation, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is unimpressive, especially in city-heavy driving, where the Pilot was seen at 15.9 L/100 km. The evaluation loop returned 14.1 L/100 km, and NRCan estimates 11.2 L/100 km combined, with 11.0 L/100 km combined for lower trims and 11.8 for the TrailSport.

Which 2025 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the least appealing choice if you want a well-equipped family SUV. It makes sense only if you are focused on keeping the purchase price down.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim because it adds the leather-lined upgrade the model needs without pushing you too far up the price ladder. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort and value, start here.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s more rugged side and the added off-roading capability mentioned in the review. It is the trim to consider if your driving includes rougher terrain.
• Touring: This trim moves you further into comfort and technology territory, making it a better fit if you want a more upscale family hauler.
• Black Edition: This is the style-focused top trim, with blacked-out exterior details, black wheels, red interior accents, and the most distinctive cabin presentation.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Pilot?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 160 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,326 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $54,326 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,304 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to be realistic about pricing if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The Pilot’s practical reputation, strong safety appeal, and broad family usefulness should help support interest over time. Even so, resale value will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle’s equipment and maintenance history stack up against newer alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2025 Honda Pilot earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The test vehicle also had parking sensors and a multi-view camera system.

There are some caveats to keep in mind. The adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist did not always behave smoothly in testing, and the road sign recognition system regularly showed inaccurate information. Those issues do not erase the Pilot’s strong crash-test results, but they do matter if you want the most polished driver-assistance experience.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Pilot’s simple formula, with a single powertrain and standard AWD in Canada.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a more truck-like look while keeping the Pilot’s familiar, practical formula.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the one to target because prices have eased and there is still solid inventory to shop. If you are less price-sensitive and want the newer styling, the 2026 is the cleaner alternative.
