Is the 2025 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It pairs a familiar rear-engine shape with a refreshed 992.2-generation design, a comfortable and simplistic interior, and strong everyday usability. The trade-offs are wind buffeting on the highway and slightly confusing tech, and the base model no longer offers a manual transmission.

With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Porsche 911 is presented as a refined evolution of a proven sports-car formula, with a familiar rear-engine layout and a focus on usability as well as performance. Its expert assessment highlights strong ride quality, solid daily livability, and a well-executed package overall.

The performance setup is described as powerful and well sorted, with a twin-turbo flat-six, an eight-speed PDK, and standard PASM adaptive dampers. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to strong value in the base model, even if the car sits in a premium price bracket.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a high-performance sports car can be expensive to keep in top shape, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche 911?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera brings the refreshed styling, standard Matrix Design LED headlights, a clean and simple interior, and a modest 10.9-inch infotainment display, while the Premium Package adds more convenience and driver-assistance equipment.
• Powertrain: The base car uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six with 389 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed PDK and rear-wheel drive. It is quick, smooth, and efficient for the class, but the manual transmission is no longer available on the base model.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: You get a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay is supported, and the system is described as simple and easy to use once you learn the layout.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy is 12.9 L/100 km in the city, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche 911 is offered in 6 trim levels: Carrera, Cabriolet, Carrera T, Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, Carrera 4 GTS, and Targa.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 911 experience, because it delivers the refreshed design, the twin-turbo flat-six, the PDK gearbox, rear-wheel drive, and the strongest overall mix of performance, ride quality, and daily usability.
• Cabriolet: Choose this if open-air driving matters most to you, since it starts the convertible side of the range and keeps the 911 formula intact.
• Carrera T: Pick this if you want the manual transmission, because it is the trim that brings that option back into the lineup.
• Carrera GTS T-Hybrid: This is the step-up choice if you want more power and the hybrid-assisted performance setup, with a 3.6-litre flat-six, larger turbochargers, and a plug-in hybrid system.
• Carrera 4 GTS: Choose this if you want the GTS performance formula with all-wheel drive.
• Targa: Pick this if you want the open-roof Targa body style on the GTS platform.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed 992.2 generation brings subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output while keeping the familiar rear-engine character.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the 911 with strong usability, excellent performance, and a market that has eased a bit, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s refresh and softened pricing make it a compelling buy.
