Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Ford Mustang, and it backs up the car’s broad appeal. The Mustang keeps its familiar front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, comes in coupe and convertible body styles, and offers a wide spread of trims and engine choices, so you can shop for anything from a more accessible version to a more performance-focused model. It remains one of the most recognisable performance cars on the road, which helps if you want an iconic sports car with modern options. Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Mustang’s overview points to a car with strong appeal, but also a few known concerns, including powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential issues, and electronic stability control problems. The EcoBoost engine also requires premium fuel, which can affect running costs. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking service history carefully and prioritising a well-maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 243 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,721 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $46,615 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,926 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Mustang has become more accessible in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the softer current pricing means resale upside may depend more on condition, trim, and how well the car has been maintained. Strong demand for an iconic nameplate can still support values, especially for desirable versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,699 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $46,615 CAD average.
• It offers upgraded interior and technology improvements.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2025 if you want the better current value and a wider pool of listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 can still make sense when you find one with the right equipment and condition, but you will likely pay more for it.
