Is the 2025 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as a refreshed 992.2-generation sports car that keeps the familiar rear-engine shape while adding subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output. That makes it appealing if you want a car that still feels unmistakably like a 911, but with modern refinement and strong everyday usability.

The main trade-offs are wind buffeting on the highway and slightly confusing tech, and the base model no longer offers a manual transmission.

With 36.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive example if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Porsche 911 is presented as a well-rounded sports car with strong everyday usability, and its expert evaluation highlights excellent ride quality, solid daily livability, and a comfortable, simplistic interior. Its performance hardware also points to a durable, confidence-inspiring setup, with smooth power delivery and standard adaptive dampers helping it feel composed in regular use.

The infotainment and instrument interfaces are generally easy to live with once you learn them, and the car’s straightforward layout should help reduce day-to-day frustration. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a high-performance sports car can still be costly to keep in top shape, especially if you want it maintained to the standard its chassis and drivetrain deserve.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche 911?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera brings the simplest interior and standard Matrix Design LED headlights, while the Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist. If you want more convenience and driver assistance, that package matters.
• Powertrain: The Carrera uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six with 389 horsepower and an eight-speed PDK transmission driving the rear wheels. It is tuned for strong performance, quick shifts, and impressive versatility.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.9-inch infotainment screen with Porsche Communication Management, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster. The system is simple and responsive, though the interface can take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy is 12.9 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.2 on the highway, and 11.3 combined.

Which 2025 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche 911 is offered in 6 trim levels: Carrera, Cabriolet, Carrera T, Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, Carrera 4 GTS, and Targa.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 911 experience, because it delivers the twin-turbo flat-six, rear-wheel drive, and the strongest overall balance of performance, ride, handling, and braking without pushing into pricier variants.
• Cabriolet: Choose this if open-air driving matters most to you, since it starts the convertible side of the range and keeps the 911’s everyday usability intact.
• Carrera T: Pick this if you want the manual transmission, because it is the trim that brings that option back into the lineup.
• Carrera GTS T-Hybrid: This is the step-up choice if you want more power and a more advanced powertrain, with a 3.6-litre flat-six, larger turbochargers, and a plug-in hybrid system.
• Carrera 4 GTS: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive, since it is the only AWD version mentioned and adds traction-focused capability.
• Targa: This is the open-roof option for buyers who want the GTS-level hardware with the Targa roof style.

The Premium Package is the key safety-and-convenience add-on to consider if you want adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
