Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Altima earns 5/5 from users and 6.2/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

It stands out in a shrinking midsize-sedan market by leaning on stylish design, comfortable front seats, easy-to-use technology, and standard AWD in Canada. It is also aimed at shoppers who still want a sedan with added all-weather confidence, even as crossovers offer more room and a taller driving position.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the interior materials feel cheap, and the technology is outdated. Even so, the Altima’s combination of comfort, styling, and standard AWD may still make sense if you specifically want a midsize sedan.

39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima is presented as a straightforward, familiar sedan rather than a complicated one, and its standard 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and CVT keep the mechanical formula simple. The expert review also notes that the car goes about its business without fanfare, the CVT rarely irritates, and the Altima is quieter than expected.

On the ownership side, Nissan says the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the model is ageing and may not feel as current or polished as newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SR, SR Premium, and Platinum trims differ meaningfully. Base trims miss some worthwhile equipment, while SR Premium adds the better interior and tech upgrades that make the car feel more complete.
• Powertrain: Every Canadian Altima uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with standard AWD and a CVT. It is tuned for calm, everyday driving rather than excitement, and fuel economy is decent rather than class-leading.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SR Premium adds ProPilot Assist 1.0 with adaptive cruise control, stop-and-go capability, and lane-centring assist, while Platinum adds a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The S and SR trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SR adds a wireless charging pad. SR Premium and Platinum upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, NissanConnect services, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The Altima AWD should burn 8.2 L/100 km in S trim and 8.4 L/100 km in other trims in combined driving. The test vehicle averaged 8.3 L/100 km on a mountainous testing loop.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SR, SR Premium, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and are happy with the basic 8-inch touchscreen, wired smartphone integration, and standard safety suite.
• SR: This trim adds a sportier look and feel, plus 19-inch wheels, sport-bolstered front seats, and a wireless charging pad. It is the best-value choice if you want a little more style without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• SR Premium: This is the trim to target if you care most about the Altima’s strengths. It adds the better 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, NissanConnect services, navigation, and ProPilot Assist 1.0.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped Altima, including the surround-view camera system and the top infotainment setup.

Choosing the SR Premium trim level is also your ticket to the best safety features available for the Altima.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds an SR Premium trim to renew interest in the car.

Consider the 2024 if:

• It offers value, standard AWD, and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the SR Premium addition and you’re shopping a midsize sedan specifically, the 2025 is the cleaner pick. If you are mainly price-sensitive, the 2024 remains a sensible alternative with similar core strengths.
