Used 2025 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearKamloops, BC

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 3.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 878 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out as a stylish, upscale compact SUV that is aimed at buyers who want practicality without giving up driving enjoyment. The cabin materials and overall presentation give it a more premium feel than many rivals, and its sporty character is a major part of the appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat space and cargo capacity are limited, and fuel economy trails many competitors. Even so, if you value an engaging drive and a more polished interior, those compromises may be acceptable.

With 18.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is presented as a refined, well-sorted compact SUV, and the expert evaluation notes that its systems operated as they should during testing. That kind of consistency matters when you are shopping used, especially for a model that leans on a more traditional mechanical setup rather than a highly complex one.

Its performance hardware is straightforward, with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive across the range. The cabin and controls are also designed for usability, which can help reduce day-to-day frustration over time.

If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that its practical compromises may feel more noticeable as your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you keyless entry and heated front seats, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience features. The cabin is attractive throughout, but the lower trims are more basic in equipment.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 187 horsepower, while the Turbo model increases output to 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is adequate for most drivers, but the Turbo feels stronger and more confident.
• Safety package: All trim levels include forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The midrange GT adds adaptive headlights and Cruise & Traffic Assist, while the top Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.25-inch infotainment display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless phone integration is available in the midrange Premium Plus trim, which also adds a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is estimated at 10.2 L/100 km in city driving, 8.2 on the highway, and 9.3 combined. With cylinder deactivation on some trims, those figures improve to 9.1 city, 7.7 highway, and 8.5 combined. The Turbo engine is rated at 10.8 city, 8.7 highway, and 9.8 combined.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, Turbo Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core CX-5 experience with keyless entry, heated front seats, and the standard safety and infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• GS: This trim adds dual-zone climate control and synthetic leather seat upholstery, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers who want a nicer cabin without moving too far up the range.
• GT: This is the better pick if you want more comfort and convenience, including adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist.
• Turbo Signature: This is the most luxurious and best-equipped version, with genuine leather upholstery, upgraded trim elements, a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors. It suits you best if you want the most premium CX-5 experience.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the GT and Turbo Signature add meaningful extra equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 18.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 878 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,512 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $36,000 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,148 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can make future resale a little more competitive for sellers. If you buy now, you may benefit from the current dip, but you should also expect resale values to reflect the model's practical compromises, especially its fuel economy and cargo space.

The CX-5's strong appeal comes from its style, premium feel, and driving enjoyment, which can help keep demand steady. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-5 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA evaluations except rollover protection, where it receives a four-star rating. It also scores well in IIHS crash tests, though its standard collision avoidance system, Smart City Brake Support Front, receives a Poor rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All CX-5 trim levels come standard with forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The midrange GT trim adds adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and Cruise & Traffic Assist, which combines lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control. The top Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree camera, a driver attention monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.

The Poor rating for Smart City Brake Support Front is the main safety caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 18.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a sporty, upscale compact SUV experience with strong driving enjoyment and premium materials.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,483 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,000 CAD average.
• It is a refined, well-rounded compact crossover with strong safety and a polished cabin.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a full redesign with more space, more technology, and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of style, driving enjoyment, and current-market value, the 2025 is the sweet spot. If price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter budget play. If you want a newer design and more technology, the 2026 is worth a look, but it changes the formula more substantially.
