Used 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 10.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid earns a 6.5/10 from our experts.

The model scores 7/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

It is a midsize two-row SUV that is especially worth considering if you value comfort and refinement over a more animated driving experience. The RX Hybrid’s strengths are broad rather than singular: it offers multiple powertrain choices, premium interior materials, and impressive technology.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind. The design may be polarising, it lacks dynamic communication, and the steering wheel controls can be distracting.

With 25.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid reliable?

The 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid leans on Lexus’s long-standing reputation for reliability, and the expert review backs up that reputation with a strong cost-effectiveness case and a calm, refined driving character.

Its hybrid system is described as efficient in the RX 350h, while the RX 450h+ adds a larger battery and electric-only driving capability. The expert review also notes that the RX 500h’s drivetrain is capable and quiet on the highway, even if it is less efficient and less polished in stop-and-go driving.

Lexus also includes a four-year/80,000-kilometre new-car warranty and an eight-year/160,000-kilometre hybrid system warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the more complex powertrain and tech-heavy features can make a poorly maintained example more expensive to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350h is the base model, while the RX 500h is the wild child and the RX 450h+ is the plug-in hybrid. The base model gives you the broadest range of package choices, while the higher-end versions add more equipment and, in the case of the RX 500h, a more performance-focused character.
• Powertrain: The RX 350h uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid setup with 246 hp and is the most efficient choice. The RX 450h+ pairs the same gas engine with a larger battery pack and a more powerful electric drive motor for 304 hp and 60 kilometres of electric-only driving range. The RX 500h uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic, and produces 366 hp, but it is the least fuel-efficient of the group.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard. The surround-view camera is available and is especially worth seeking out.
• Infotainment: The RX Hybrid uses a 14-inch touchscreen display on the RX 500h, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, cloud-based navigation through Drive Connect, and a conversational voice assistant. The tech is strong, but the steering wheel controls can be frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350h is rated at 6.5 L/100 km combined, the RX 450h+ at 6.7 L/100 km combined, and the RX 500h at 8.6 L/100 km combined. In testing, the RX 500h returned 13.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid is offered in 3 trim levels: RX 350h, RX 500h, RX 450h+.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350h: This is the best-value choice if you want the RX Hybrid’s comfort, efficiency, and broad package availability without paying for extra performance hardware. It is the most efficient model and the one most aligned with the RX’s core strengths.
• RX 500h: Choose this if you want the most power, the sport-tuned adaptive damping suspension, standard 21-inch wheels, Direct4 AWD, performance brakes, and rear-wheel steering. It is the most engaging version on paper, but it also brings the biggest efficiency trade-off.
• RX 450h+: Pick this if plug-in hybrid driving matters to you. It offers 60 kilometres of electric-only range and is only available with the Executive package, so it suits buyers who want the most electrified version of the RX Hybrid.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the lineup, and the surround-view camera is a worthwhile upgrade to prioritise.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $67,181 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $69,775 CAD sits slightly below last year's $78,023 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX Hybrid has become more approachable for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. For a future seller, though, the softer market means resale expectations should be realistic unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or priced aggressively.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid safe?

The 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, but the IIHS gives it a Poor rating for occupant protection in an updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, and adaptive cruise control. Every RX Hybrid also comes with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Safety Connect is also included for up to ten years and adds automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance, and roadside assistance access. The available surround-view camera is a worthwhile upgrade, and the expert review notes that it should be standard on more expensive versions.

The IIHS result is the main caveat to keep in mind when you are shopping used examples.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus RX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.
• The 2025 adds a sportier F Sport Black Line special edition and keeps the RX Hybrid’s broad powertrain mix.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It shifts the RX Hybrid’s most potent version toward a turbo-hybrid setup with stronger power and better efficiency.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want more choice, softer pricing, and the established RX Hybrid formula. If you are mainly chasing the newest powertrain direction and can live with a narrower model range, the 2026 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025’s lower average price makes it the easier year to shop.
