How much does the 2025 Lexus IS cost?

Is the 2025 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2025 Lexus IS stands out as a compact luxury sports sedan that has long appealed to younger buyers with its comparatively low price point and compact proportions. It is also the entry-level model in the Lexus lineup, and its reputation is built around being fun to drive while still offering standard advanced safety features and easy-to-use technology.

For shoppers who want a sedan that feels more engaging than many mainstream alternatives, that combination is a major part of its appeal. At the same time, it is better suited to drivers who rarely carry passengers than to families, since the back seat is really tight and cargo space is limited.

With 21.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2025 Lexus IS benefits from the third-generation platform and the 2021 refresh that brought updated technology and standard safety equipment. It also carries the Lexus reputation for a straightforward, easy-to-use cabin and a well-equipped ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a sporty luxury sedan with poor fuel economy and limited practicality may be less satisfying if your needs change over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, where you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 21.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 75 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,324 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $55,430 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,550 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. For resale, condition and mileage will matter a lot because the model's appeal is strongest among shoppers who specifically want a compact luxury sports sedan.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 21.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better path if you want the latest version of this generation's formula and you value the current market softness. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may deliver a similar driving and equipment experience for less, so it is worth comparing listings carefully before you decide.
