How much does the 2025 Lexus IS cost?

Prices have softened 7.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2025 Lexus IS is a compact luxury sports sedan that appeals if you want something more engaging than many mainstream alternatives, with a comparatively low price point and compact proportions. It is the entry-level model in the Lexus lineup, and it combines a fun-to-drive character with standard advanced safety features and easy-to-use technology.

For 2025, you also get the benefit of the 2021 refresh, which brought Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a touchscreen display update, NuLuxe synthetic leather seats, heated front seats, an eight-inch infotainment screen, passive entry, push-button start, dual automatic climate controls, and 18-inch wheels. That makes it a strong fit if you value a well-equipped cabin and sporty feel more than maximum practicality.

15.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2025 Lexus IS leans on a familiar formula: standard Lexus Safety System+ features, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a long-running third-generation platform. That combination supports its reputation as a straightforward, easy-to-use luxury sedan.

It is best suited to you if you want a used luxury car with a relatively simple ownership profile and standard safety equipment already built in. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about complexity and more about whether the car’s tight rear seat and limited cargo space will still suit your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are patient and focused on value.

• Deal availability: 15.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,325 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $55,772 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,321 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you if you are buying now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the car in strong condition and buy near the lower end of the range, you should be better positioned when it comes time to resell. For a future seller, the current trend points to a market that rewards careful purchase timing more than short-term appreciation.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 15.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 Lexus IS makes the most sense if you want the latest version of this compact luxury sports sedan with a softer market and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you are price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth considering, but the 2025 is the better starting point if you want the current-year balance of value, equipment, and availability.
