Used 2025 Kia Telluride for Sale nearWaterloo, ON

How much does the 2025 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 10.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 114 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Kia Telluride earns 4/5 from users and 8.2/10 from our experts, which points to a strong overall showing. The Telluride’s appeal comes through clearly in its stylish design, comfortable three-row packaging, and family-friendly real-world capability, especially for highway travel and mixed-use driving. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the technology feels outdated, the lane-assist system can be irritating, and sticky brakes in thick traffic are a drawback. Even so, it remains a compelling choice if you want a midsize SUV that still feels highly relevant for people-moving duty. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The Telluride’s reputation is reinforced by its strong safety record and by the way it handled a long road trip with confidence and composure. Its 3.8-litre V6 is described as smooth, refined, and amply powered, and the overall package is presented as one of the best midsize SUVs you can buy.

Kia’s five-year/100,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and five-year/unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance programme add peace of mind. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that ageing technology and driver-assist quirks may be more noticeable as the vehicle gets older.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base EX misses some of the richer display and convenience features found higher up, while the X-Line and X-Pro add a more rugged look and extra capability. The top trims bring a more luxurious cabin with features like simulated wood trim, metallic accents, chevron-pattern Nappa leather, and an artificial suede headliner.
• Powertrain: Every Telluride uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. It is smooth and refined, but the powertrain can seem a little confused at times.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance when turning left across traffic, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear occupant alert, safe exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Most trims also add Blind Spot View Monitor, reverse automatic braking, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, and lane-change collision avoidance.
• Infotainment: In all Canadian trims but the base EX, you get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen under one piece of glass. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are not included, and the system uses a USB-A data port.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 11.6 L/100 km over nearly 2,000 kilometres of driving, which aligns closely with the Natural Resources Canada combined rating of 11.7 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim where you give up the larger dual-screen setup found higher up. It makes sense if you want the Telluride’s core space, comfort, and standard safety equipment at the lowest price.
• SX: This trim brings more of the upscale feel that suits the Telluride’s character, including the larger display setup and more premium convenience features. It is the best-value choice if you want a richer daily experience without going all the way to the top.
• SX Limited: This is the trim for you if you want the more luxurious cabin presentation, including the richer materials and the available black-over-Terracotta interior. It suits buyers who care most about comfort and a more premium atmosphere.
• X-Line: This trim adds increased ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, a self-levelling rear suspension, and a blacked-out look with exclusive wheel designs. It is the better pick if you want a more rugged appearance and a bit more capability.
• X-Pro: This is the most capability-focused version, with 18-inch wheels on all-terrain tires and a towing capacity of 2,500 kilograms. It is the right choice only if you expect to spend meaningful time off pavement or want the extra towing ability.

Most trims also have the camera-based Blind Spot View Monitor system, reverse automatic braking, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, and lane-change collision avoidance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $51,743 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $53,103 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,638 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale values may not rebound quickly unless demand stays strong. For a seller, the current market suggests you may need to price competitively to move the vehicle. The Telluride’s strong reputation and broad family appeal should still help support demand over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2025 Kia Telluride earns a five-star overall rating in crash tests performed by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and it earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance when turning left across traffic, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear occupant alert, and safe exit assist. Every trim also gets Highway Driving Assist, while higher trims add lane-change assist. Most trims also include Blind Spot View Monitor, reverse automatic braking, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, and lane-change collision avoidance.

The main caveat is the lane-centring system, which can be argumentative and overly eager to hug lane markers in curves.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 stands out for its stylish, comfortable three-row packaging and strong long-distance capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $46,351 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $53,103 CAD average.
• It is stylish, safe, roomy, rugged, and packed with surprise-and-delight details.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and the same core Telluride strengths, the 2025 is the cleaner pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Telluride formula, the 2024 is the smarter value play.

How does the 2025 Kia Telluride compare to the 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

Our experts score the 2025 Kia Telluride 8.2/10 and the 2025 Hyundai Palisade 9/10. The Telluride offers a slightly stronger city fuel-consumption figure and more listings to shop from, while the Palisade has the lower average used price. Both use the same engine and make the same horsepower, so your decision comes down more to pricing, availability, and which cabin and feature set you prefer.
