Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $77,811 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $89,161 CAD average.
• The 2024 focuses on serious capability with a distinctly upscale feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad used-market selection, the 2025 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it undercuts the current average by a meaningful margin.
