How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 22.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,001 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 F-150’s appeal comes from its huge range of cab, bed, trim, and powertrain combinations, so you can tailor it to work, family duty, or off-road use. It also brings impressive technology and capability both on and off the road, plus new driver-assistance systems for 2025.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor and manoeuvrability is poor, so it suits you best if capability matters more than easy city driving. With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market choice.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 F-150 is built around broad capability and a wide range of configurations, which can help you find a version that fits your needs without overbuying. Its expert assessment also points to strong substance across the lineup, with the truck’s overall package described as impressive rather than fragile or compromised.

The performance notes also support confidence in day-to-day use, with the truck’s powertrains and hardware described as capable for towing, hauling, and trail use. Ford’s cost-effectiveness commentary suggests the truck’s value is more about versatility than bargain pricing, so long-term ownership risk is more about choosing the right configuration than worrying about the model’s core competence.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor builds on the XLT trim level with off-roading equipment and exclusive design details, while the cabin uses orange accents, stitching, and trim-specific badging. It is one of three off-road-focused versions, so you should make sure you are paying for the features you actually want.
• Powertrain: You can get a standard 3.5-litre V6 or an optional 5.0-litre V8 in the Tremor, and the V8 delivers 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The V6 is more fuel efficient, while the V8 is the better choice if you want the best sound and strong all-round punch.
• Safety package: BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the 2025 model adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection.
• Infotainment: You get a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, native navigation, voice recognition, a head-up display, and helpful cameras.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 12.9 L/100 km combined, while the V8 is rated at 13.7 L/100 km combined. In testing, the V8 averaged 14.9 L/100 km over a week of city and highway driving.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point if you want the broad F-150 experience at the lowest rung, but you should expect a more basic setup than the higher trims.
• STX: This is a sensible step up if you want a little more equipment without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• XLT: This is the trim that underpins the Tremor, so it is the key stepping stone if you want more comfort and capability without going full luxury or performance.
• Tremor: This is the best-value choice if you want off-road hardware, the standard BlueCruise system, and a strong mix of capability and tech.
• Lariat: This is the right move if you want a more upscale daily driver with more comfort and convenience.
• King Ranch: Choose this if you want a more distinctive, premium-feeling truck with a stronger luxury lean.
• Platinum: This suits you if you want a high-end F-150 with a more polished presentation.
• Raptor: This is the pick if you want the most aggressive off-road-focused personality in the lineup.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,001 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,319 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $60,319 CAD sits slightly below last year's $77,892 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition if pricing stays soft. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry point, but resale strength will depend heavily on trim, equipment, and condition. Trucks with the right mix of capability and desirable features should still attract attention, especially in a model year with broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2025 Ford F-150 earns a five-star overall rating and a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, and it scores well in IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s safety suite for 2025 adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection. BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and it is one of the strongest hands-free systems available, though you still need to stay ready to take over.

A key caveat is that BlueCruise cannot handle every situation, especially lane drops, glare, construction zones, or confusing markings, so it is best treated as a helpful assist rather than a replacement for attention.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a slew of new driver-assistance systems and a new Platinum Plus option package.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,930 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $60,319 CAD average.
• It offers a standard 12-inch touchscreen and a multi-functional tailgate.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It reshuffles equipment across eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the newest safety and convenience updates, the 2025 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 is worth a look if you want the latest equipment mix and can wait for the newer model year.
