What is the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $75,026 CAD sits slightly below last year's $87,758 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range gives you a better chance of protecting your equity. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks should still support interest from future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $69,469 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $75,026 CAD average.
• It brings a refreshed look and a new off-road trim.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger overall market context and are shopping for a well-equipped heavy-duty truck with broad appeal. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if its refreshed styling and off-road focus fit your needs.
