The overview points to a smooth ride, quiet refinement, roomy cargo space, available hybrid efficiency, and standard safety equipment, so you get a well-rounded everyday SUV rather than something tuned for excitement. Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 23.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,056 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $48,168 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,595 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean less upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Highlander’s practical packaging, comfort-focused appeal, and strong reputation should help it stay attractive to future shoppers. A model that continues to draw steady family-SUV demand is usually easier to move later than a less mainstream alternative.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 23.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfort-first midsize SUV with strong practicality and a solid reputation, the 2024 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a good mix of value, demand, and everyday usefulness.
