Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Toyota Corolla, and it fits a model that is built around practicality, broad body-style choice, and sensible ownership. The Corolla is available as a sedan or hatchback, with the sedan offering the lowest entry price and the hatchback limited to sportier trim levels. It also offers front-wheel drive on most versions, with all-wheel drive available on the sedan and hybrid models, which gives you useful flexibility depending on how you plan to drive.

The standard and available equipment list is a real strength, especially if you want everyday convenience without moving up to a more expensive car. 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla’s overview points to a strong dependability record, and it is described as well engineered with low running costs and ease of use. It also has a reputation for practicality rather than flash, which usually suits buyers who want predictable ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about choosing the right version for your needs, since some trims are intentionally simple and the engine range is limited compared with some rivals.

What is the 2024 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $25,871 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,937 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Corolla has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help keep demand healthy if you decide to sell later. A lower entry point can also broaden the pool of shoppers who can afford your vehicle when it comes time to list it.

Because the Corolla is positioned around practicality and low-stress ownership, it should remain appealing to buyers who want a dependable compact car. That kind of steady demand can help support resale value over time, especially if your vehicle is well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $27,334 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $25,871 CAD average.
• It adds broader versatility with more modern polish and a more enjoyable driving feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and a strong mix of practicality, features, and buyer appeal. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model with a broader sense of polish, the 2025 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter buy.
