Used 2024 Subaru Outback for Sale nearRegina, SK

How much does the 2024 Subaru Outback cost?

Prices have softened 13.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 403 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of choice across the market.

Is the 2024 Subaru Outback a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.5/5 user-rated model with an expert score of 7.8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The 2024 Subaru Outback stands out because it keeps the raised station wagon formula, giving you SUV-like ride height and excellent visibility in a smaller, more practical package. That makes it a strong fit if you want everyday usefulness without moving to a bulkier crossover.

The main trade-offs are an underwhelming base engine and a dated infotainment system. If you want the stronger powertrain, the turbocharged trims address the performance shortfall more convincingly.

There are 32.8% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find worthwhile listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Subaru Outback reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Outback’s appeal is built around standard all-wheel drive, strong safety credentials, and a practical layout that has long suited Canadian buyers. Its expert evaluation also points to a comfortable ride and a broad trim range, which can help it age well in day-to-day use.

The turbocharged versions are the better match if you want stronger performance and less strain from the base engine. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a lower-trim example that feels underpowered and less satisfying to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Outback?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Convenience and Touring use cloth seats, while Onyx and Wilderness get StarTex synthetic leather and the Limited trims add standard leather seating surfaces. The Premier XT stands out with the most chrome, a larger screen, a CD player, and a more upscale cabin feel.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-litre flat-four makes 182 horsepower, while XT trims and the Wilderness use a 2.4-litre turbocharged boxer four-cylinder with 260 horsepower. The turbo setup is the better choice if you want stronger acceleration and more confident towing.
• Safety package: EyeSight is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with lane-centring, automatic pre-collision braking, and lane-keep assist. Touring adds automatic emergency steering, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, while Limited and Premier XT add a driver-attention monitor.
• Infotainment: Convenience keeps the dual-7-inch-screen setup, while other trims get the larger 11.6-inch portrait-oriented screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless connectivity starts with Touring.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is rated at 9.2 L/100 km in the city, 7.3 on the highway, and 8.3 combined. The turbo engine is rated at 10.6 L/100 km in the city, 8.1 on the highway, and 9.5 combined, while the Wilderness is rated at 11.0 city, 9.0 highway, and 10.1 combined.

Which 2024 Subaru Outback trim should I buy?

The 2024 Subaru Outback is offered in 7 trim levels: Convenience, Touring, Onyx, Limited, Wilderness, Limited XT, and Premier XT.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the value play if you want the Outback’s core strengths at the lowest entry point, but it keeps the simpler dual-screen setup and the four-speaker audio system.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic emergency steering, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and the better standard safety package.
• Onyx: Choose this if you want a darker look and StarTex synthetic leather without jumping to the turbo models.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more premium cabin, standard leather seating surfaces, and the added driver-attention monitor.
• Wilderness: Pick this if you want the most off-road-focused version, with 24.1 cm of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and dual-function X-Mode.
• Limited XT: This is the upscale turbo choice if you want stronger performance with a more refined feel.
• Premier XT: This is the most luxurious version, with the larger screen, CD player, digital rearview mirror, and the most upscale interior presentation.

Touring is the trim where the safety package starts to expand beyond the standard EyeSight suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru Outback?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 403 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,348 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $34,364 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,502 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Outback more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that means resale value may depend heavily on trim choice, condition, and whether the vehicle has the stronger turbo engine or the more desirable safety and convenience features.

Because the Outback still offers standard all-wheel drive, strong safety credentials, and broad appeal, well-equipped examples should remain easier to move than bare-bones trims. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Subaru Outback safe?

The 2024 Subaru Outback earned a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it also earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

EyeSight is standard, so every Outback gets adaptive cruise control with lane-centring, automatic pre-collision braking, and lane-keep assist. Reverse automatic braking now starts with Touring, and that trim also adds automatic emergency steering, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Subaru also added a wide-angle camera for 2024 to improve detection of cyclists and pedestrians. Limited trims add a driver-attention monitor, and Premier XT includes the same monitor along with a digital rearview mirror.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the wagon-like shape, strong safety ratings, and broader trim range.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,375 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,364 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling and new infotainment and safety tech.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $39,716 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,364 CAD average.
• It leans harder into practicality and value while keeping standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and trim choice, the 2024 is the strongest all-round pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want to pay more for the newer model-year direction, the 2025 is the alternative to watch.
