Used 2024 Mazda CX-50 for Sale nearRegina, SK

How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-50 cost?

Prices have softened 10.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 427 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda CX-50 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model’s appeal comes from its rugged styling, standard all-wheel drive, and practical everyday usability, especially if you want a compact crossover with a more adventurous character. The trade-off is that it is not especially exciting to drive, and it is presented as poor value for money.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Cons: Fairly pedestrian performance and poor value for money are the main drawbacks, and the Meridian Edition can be noisy.

For shoppers who prioritise style, standard AWD, and a more outdoorsy feel, it fits the brief well. The market also shows 34.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-50 is described as a competent, well-finished crossover that should suit buyers who want everyday practicality with a more rugged edge. Mazda’s Canadian warranty coverage is better than average for drivers who rack up kilometres quickly, with three-year new-vehicle and five-year powertrain coverage, both without mileage limits. Its standard all-wheel drive and straightforward mechanical setup also support confidence for long-term use.

The main ownership risk for used buyers is that its value proposition is not especially strong, so you should be careful to pay the right price for the trim and equipment you actually want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-50?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: GS-L trim gets 17-inch wheels, while GT steps up to 20-inch wheels. Meridian Edition adds all-terrain tyres on 18-inch wheels, a black hood graphic, more pronounced rocker-panel trim, and an earthy colour palette with Terracotta leather upholstery. The base model’s manually adjustable passenger seat is a reminder that some convenience features are reserved for higher trims.
• Powertrain: All models use a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, with turbocharging on higher trim levels. The base engine makes 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while turbo models increase output substantially and also raise towing capacity.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist tech includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a driver attention monitor. Emergency lane-keeping with road-keep assist, rear automatic braking, traffic-jam assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: A 10.25-inch infotainment screen is standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is not a touchscreen by default, and higher trims add wireless phone charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is rated at 8.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined, while the turbocharged engine is rated at 9.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-50 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-50 is offered in 3 trim levels: GS-L, GT, and Meridian Edition.

Here's the short version:

• GS-L: This is the entry point, and it gives you the CX-50’s standard all-wheel drive, 17-inch wheels, and core safety and infotainment equipment. It makes the most sense if you want the CX-50’s rugged look and standard AWD without paying for extras you may not need.
• GT: This trim adds 20-inch wheels and more of the upscale equipment that helps the CX-50 feel better finished. It is the best-value choice if you want a more polished version of the CX-50 without going all the way to the most specialised trim.
• Meridian Edition: This is the most distinctive version, with all-terrain tyres, a black hood graphic, more pronounced rocker-panel trim, and available Apex Package accessories. It suits you best if the CX-50’s more adventurous styling is the main reason you’re shopping it.

Safety equipment is strong across the range, with the standard driver-assistance suite already covering the essentials.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda CX-50?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and focus on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 427 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,951 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-50's resale value?

The current average of $36,951 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,185 CAD.

That decline suggests the CX-50 has become more attractive to used buyers, which can help future sellers if pricing stays disciplined. A softer market today can also mean more competition among listings, so condition, trim, and equipment matter more when you eventually resell. If you buy well now, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pain later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 safe?

The 2024 Mazda CX-50 was named a 2023 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it received a five-star frontal crash-test rating and four-star rollover crash-test rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda includes a strong standard safety suite with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and a driver attention monitor. Emergency lane-keeping with road-keep assist, rear automatic braking, traffic-jam assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.

The main caveat is that the standard headlights were only rated “Average,” and the vehicle-to-pedestrian nighttime braking result was “Basic,” so you should pay attention to lighting and visibility-related equipment.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines rugged styling, standard all-wheel drive, and a more outdoorsy focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,494 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,951 CAD average.
• It offers a stylish, active-lifestyle design with engaging driving character.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $40,743 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $36,951 CAD average.
• It adds a hybrid powertrain that improves fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and current-market availability, the 2024 is the sensible pick. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the cheaper route into the same general idea, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer hybrid direction and can stretch your budget.
