Used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 9.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 727 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its build quality, comfort, handling, fuel efficiency, safety features, and value for money. That lines up well with the Crosstrek’s role as a practical compact crossover for active shoppers who want everyday usefulness and confidence in poor weather or on rougher roads.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the cheap-feeling interior materials. Even so, the Crosstrek’s standard all-wheel drive and broad feature set make it a strong fit if you want a small vehicle that can handle commuting, weekend errands, and outdoor trips without much fuss.

With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a meaningful share of attractive inventory to consider.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable, and the model’s reputation is reinforced by comments about build quality and value. The Crosstrek’s standard all-wheel drive and practical design also support the sense that it is built for steady, everyday use over the long haul.

Subaru’s updated powertrain tuning also reduces vibration during start-up and operation, which is a good sign for day-to-day refinement and long-term comfort. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a lower-trim example may feel less polished if you are sensitive to engine noise or interior finish.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, 22 centimetres of ground clearance, and standard roof rails, but you do not get the more upscale equipment found higher up the range. The Wilderness trim adds unique exterior styling, extra cladding, copper accents, StarTex synthetic leather, all-weather floormats, an interior cargo-area LED light, and a roof rack with higher load ratings.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine makes 152 horsepower and is paired only with a CVT. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder returns with 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, and the Wilderness trim uses that engine with different gearing for more aggressive uphill terrain.
• Safety package: EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, it uses a wider-angle lens, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The 11.6-inch touchscreen is standard on all but the Convenience trim. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and the system retains physical controls for temperature, defrosters, tuning, and volume. A wireless charger is standard on the Onyx and Limited trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.8 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 L/100 km on the highway for the 2.0-litre engine. The 2.5-litre engine is rated at 8.9 L/100 km city and 7.2 L/100 km highway.

Which 2024 Subaru Crosstrek trim should I buy?

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is offered in 4 trim levels: Convenience, Touring, Onyx, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Crosstrek’s standard all-wheel drive and core utility at the lowest price. It is the trim to choose if you care most about getting into the model rather than loading up on extras.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying below the upper trims. It also gets paddle shifters, and it keeps the Crosstrek’s practical, well-rounded character intact.
• Onyx: Choose this if you want the stronger 2.5-litre engine and the more capable dual-function X-Mode system with mud and deep snow settings. It also adds a wireless charger, making it a good fit if you want more traction-focused hardware and a bit more convenience.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich mainstream trim, with the 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and the same 2.5-litre powertrain. It suits you best if you want the most polished daily-driver experience short of the Wilderness model.

EyeSight is standard across the range, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

The market looks moderate, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 727 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,925 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $29,925 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,996 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. A model that has already moved down from last year’s average can be harder to resell at a premium unless it is well equipped and well kept.

The Crosstrek’s broad appeal should help support demand, especially because it combines standard all-wheel drive, strong practicality, and a reputation for value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek safe?

The Subaru Crosstrek has been awarded a Top Safety Pick designation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) since 2013.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, Subaru says it uses a wider-angle lens for a larger view of the road ahead, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

The main caveat is that the 2024 model had not yet been reviewed by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of this information, so the latest crash-test results are not yet confirmed for this model year.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a refreshed third-generation design, a new Wilderness trim level, upgraded safety features, and a standard 11.6-inch touchscreen.

The bottom line: The 2024 Crosstrek is the right pick if you want the refreshed model with standard all-wheel drive, strong tech, and broad everyday usefulness. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024 is the better choice if you want the newer features and can find a well-priced listing.
