Is the 2024 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Nissan Kicks earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which supports its reputation as a practical, value-focused subcompact SUV. It is aimed at drivers who want low running costs, straightforward everyday transportation, and a simple ownership experience rather than performance or all-wheel-drive capability. Its appeal is strongest if you want an affordable small SUV with useful equipment and a no-frills layout. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Nissan Kicks is described as reliable, economical, and easy to recommend for drivers who want low running costs and uncomplicated transportation. Its simple front-wheel-drive setup and modest mechanical formula help define that reputation. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its small size, lack of all-wheel drive, and limited performance may not suit every household’s needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,475 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,117 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $22,217 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,431 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your best protection is buying at a strong entry price. The model’s value-focused positioning should still help it remain appealing to budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $24,599 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $22,217 CAD average.
• The 2025 adds available all-wheel drive and a more upscale, fully redesigned cabin.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the lower purchase price and a proven value formula. Consider the 2025 if you are willing to pay more for the redesign, available all-wheel drive, and a more premium feel.
