Used 2024 Mazda CX-5 for Sale nearWoodbridge, ON

How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 8.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,092 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda CX-5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Mazda positions it as an SUV for active urbanites, and it fits that brief well with stylish design, excellent outward visibility, a comfortable cabin, commendable quality, and strong safety ratings. It is also genuinely enjoyable to drive, which makes it appealing if you want a compact crossover that feels more polished than many rivals.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy in Turbo models and outdated technology. If you value driving enjoyment and a premium-feeling cabin more than maximum practicality or the latest infotainment, this model year suits you well.

19.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Mazda’s continuous refinement approach has helped the CX-5 stay polished rather than feel stale, and the expert assessment highlights its quality, refinement, and well-sorted driving character. The standard powertrain and chassis tuning also support a sense of durability and everyday confidence.

The performance notes point to a composed, sophisticated SUV that feels confident in traffic, parking lots, and on the highway. Mazda also backs the CX-5 with a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, which adds to the sense that it is built to be easy to live with.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-running-cost Turbo versions can be less appealing if fuel use matters to you.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin quality and feature content are strong even at lower trims, but the higher trims add meaningful upgrades such as adaptive headlights, traffic sign recognition, and, on the Signature, a driver monitoring system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic reverse braking.
• Powertrain: You can choose between the base 2.5-litre four-cylinder and the 2.5 Turbo. The turbocharged version delivers stronger output, but it is also the one called out for poor fuel economy.
• Safety package: Every CX-5 gets adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Higher trims add more advanced safety equipment, while the Signature gets the most complete package.
• Infotainment: The CX-5 uses a 10.25-inch display with Mazda Connect, and several trims add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You should also check whether the vehicle has the touchscreen functionality enabled for smartphone apps while driving.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged version is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the base engine is rated at 9.3 L/100 km combined, or 8.5 L/100 km with cylinder deactivation.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-5 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-5 is offered in 7 trim levels: GS, GX, Kuro, GT, Sport Design, Suna, and Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core CX-5 experience with standard all-wheel drive and the full set of basic driver-assistance features. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• GS: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience while keeping the CX-5’s strong fundamentals intact.
• Kuro: Choose this if you want a more distinctive appearance and a richer-feeling cabin without jumping all the way to the upper trims.
• GT: This is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale balance of features and value, especially if you care about added comfort and technology.
• Sport Design: Pick this if styling matters most and you want a more expressive look with a premium feel.
• Suna: This is the most distinctive mainstream choice, and it stands out with the Turbo engine, exclusive appearance details, and the Bose audio system.
• Signature: This is the one to buy if you want the most complete CX-5, especially for its added safety and convenience equipment.

The safety-package trim note is simple: adaptive headlights and traffic sign recognition arrive as you move up the range, while the Signature gets the most advanced driver-assistance hardware.

• Inventory: There are 1,092 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.35% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $32,536 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,501 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. The CX-5’s strong reputation for style, quality, and driving enjoyment should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Higher trims add adaptive headlights and traffic sign recognition, while the Signature gets a driver monitoring system, surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic reverse braking.

The main caveat is that the CX-5 no longer carries the IIHS Top Safety Pick designation it has earned in the past, even though its current ratings remain strong.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 19.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Mazda’s continuous refinement keeps the CX-5 feeling polished, stylish, and enjoyable to drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,155 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,536 CAD average.
• It remains appealing, stylish, and enjoyable to drive.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $36,068 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,536 CAD average.
• It sharpens the sporty, upscale feel while keeping the CX-5 formula intact.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and the latest version of Mazda’s refined formula, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative, while the 2025 makes sense only if you are willing to pay more for a newer example.
