Used 2024 Lexus RX for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2024 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 12.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 211 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

It is built around comfort, luxury, and fuel efficiency, and it suits you best if you want a relaxed, refined crossover rather than something sporty. The cabin is quiet, and the RX’s efficiency focus is a real strength, but it is not as exciting to drive as rivals and its performance is fairly pedestrian.

One trade-off is that some interior materials feel cheap, and another is that the styling may not appeal to everyone. Even so, the market shows 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX is positioned as a comfort- and refinement-first luxury SUV, and that approach usually aligns well with buyers who want a calm ownership experience. Its expert assessment also points to a quiet cabin and strong efficiency, both of which support everyday livability.

The powertrain lineup is straightforward, with a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder in the RX 350 and hybrid options for buyers who want better efficiency. The RX 450h+ adds an 18.1-kWh battery pack and up to 60 km of electric range, which broadens its appeal if you can charge regularly.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the RX’s comfort-first tuning and premium features match your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base RX 350 is the starting point, but higher-priced packages add faux suede inserts in the seats, doors, and roof pillars, plus a larger 14-inch infotainment touchscreen. The cabin is otherwise well finished, though the simulated woodgrain in the centre console and mismatched steering-wheel inlays are worth a close look.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the RX 350h hybrid uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 246 hp and 233 lb-ft. The RX 500h F Sport Performance is the most powerful model, and the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid adds an 18.1-kWh battery pack and up to 60 km of electric range.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear passenger safe-exit system, and parking proximity sensors. A head-up display, digital rearview mirror, surround-view camera system, semi-automated parking system, and highway driving assist are available.
• Infotainment: Lower-priced configurations get a 9.8-inch touchscreen, while higher-end models use a 14-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system also supports cloud-based navigation, though that service is subscription-based after the free trial.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 is estimated at 9.9 L/100 km combined, the RX 350h at 6.5 L/100 km combined, the RX 500h at 8.6 L/100 km combined, and the RX 450h+ at 2.8 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres combined.

Which 2024 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Lexus RX is offered in 4 trim levels: RX 350, RX 350h, RX 500h F Sport Performance, RX 450h+.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core RX experience with the turbocharged 2.4-litre engine, standard AWD, and the full safety suite. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model, but it is also the least compelling if you care about efficiency or stronger performance.
• RX 350h: This is the best-value choice for most buyers because it adds the hybrid powertrain and a major fuel-economy advantage while staying far more affordable than the plug-in model. If you want the RX’s comfort and refinement with lower running costs, this is the trim to target.
• RX 500h F Sport Performance: Choose this only if you want the most powerful RX and are willing to pay for it. It is the sporty option in the lineup, but the RX still remains comfort-focused overall.
• RX 450h+: This is the priciest version, and it suits you best if you can charge at home or work and want the longest electric-only capability in the lineup. It is the most advanced powertrain here, but the added cost is hard to justify for many shoppers.

All RX models come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, so you do not need to move up the trim ladder for the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 211 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.66% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,438 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $54,438 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,329 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help keep demand healthy in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out against the current market.

The RX’s comfort-first appeal and strong efficiency help support its desirability, especially for shoppers who want a refined luxury crossover. If the model continues to attract buyers who value those traits, resale should remain relatively stable over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX safe?

The 2024 Lexus RX earned five-out-of-five stars in overall and side collision protection and four stars in frontal and rollover tests from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded it its highest score of "Good" in all crashworthiness evaluations except for the new moderate frontal overlap test, where it was rated "Poor". Despite this, the RX was named a Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear passenger safe-exit system, and parking proximity sensors. Available upgrades include a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, surround-view camera system, semi-automated parking, and highway driving assist with adaptive cruise and lane centring.

The main caveat is the poor IIHS result in the moderate frontal overlap test, which is worth keeping in mind if crash performance is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 RX combines strong fuel economy with standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,729 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $54,438 CAD average.
• The redesigned 2023 RX feels more balanced and technologically improved.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the current market’s better pricing trend and the same comfort-first RX formula. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
