Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearSudbury, ON

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 7.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 218 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

The Carnival’s appeal is rooted in its stylish, SUV-like design, strong value proposition, and polished driving experience for a family hauler. It is positioned as a practical people mover that still feels distinctive, especially if you want minivan usefulness without a plain look.

The main trade-offs are the lack of all-wheel drive or a hybrid option, plus a safety record that is mixed rather than cleanly strong. Folding the seats is also not especially easy, which can reduce day-to-day convenience.

With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival is presented as a carryover model with a proven V6 and conventional automatic transmission, which supports a straightforward ownership experience. Its powertrain is described as refined, smooth-shifting, and pleasant to drive, all of which point to a well-sorted mechanical package.

Kia’s 5-year, 100,000-kilometre limited comprehensive warranty, including the powertrain, adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers. Even so, you should still budget for normal wear items and inspect the vehicle carefully, since long-term ownership risk always depends on maintenance history and how the previous owner used it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX models miss standard heated seats and a heated steering wheel, while LX+ adds those comforts. EX and EX+ bring leatherette upholstery, and SX trims add real leather upholstery, with more upscale seating and available dual sunroofs.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive only. There is no all-wheel drive or hybrid option for this model year.
• Safety package: Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors are standard. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist move up to EX, while EX+ adds a surround-view camera system and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: LX, LX+, and EX trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but switch to wired smartphone connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 9.0 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, LX+, EX, EX+, SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is best if you are focused on price and can live without standard heated seats or a heated steering wheel.
• LX+: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the comfort features missing from LX while staying below the more expensive safety and tech upgrades.
• EX: This is the smart step-up if you want a more complete safety package, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and more.
• EX+: This trim adds the surround-view camera system and blind-spot camera system, making it a strong pick if parking visibility matters to you.
• SX: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather upholstery, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and the most complete equipment list.

The safety-package upgrades are not evenly spread across the range, so you should pay close attention to which driver-assistance features are standard on the trim you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 218 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,186 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $37,897 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,028 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive resale environment if prices continue to ease. The current trend suggests the market has cooled from a year ago, so strong condition, desirable equipment, and clean history will matter more when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, including a Good result in several crash tests, but also a Marginal rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test and a Poor rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors are standard. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist require an upgrade to EX, while EX+ adds a surround-view camera system and a blind-spot camera system.

The mixed crash-test results are the main caution for used buyers, especially if safety is a top priority. You should pay close attention to trim level, because some of the more useful driver-assistance features are not standard on the base model.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged ahead of a 2025 refresh, with a strong driving experience and affordable starting price.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,573 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,897 CAD average.
• It makes a minivan feel more stylish and less utilitarian.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-market value, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-rounded family-hauler package, the 2024 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path.
