Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearCranbrook, BC

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 10.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 216 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Carnival earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as a seriously good people mover with a stylish design and a powerful engine, and it also offers excellent value for money. That makes it a strong fit if you want minivan usefulness without a plain or utilitarian feel.

The main trade-offs are its lack of all-wheel drive or hybrid options, plus the fact that Kia does not make folding the seats easy.

With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find a compelling example.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival is described as a practical family vehicle with a strong driving experience, and its powertrain is presented as refined and pleasant to drive. The V6 and conventional automatic transmission are also framed as a reminder of why this setup remains appealing for everyday use.

Kia’s 5-year, 100,000-kilometre limited comprehensive warranty, including the powertrain, adds another layer of ownership confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that mixed safety performance and limited drivetrain choice may matter more as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX and LX+ models get cloth seats, EX and EX+ models get leatherette upholstery, and SX trims get real leather upholstery. The base LX does not come with standard heated seats or a heated steering wheel, so you need to move up to LX+ if those matter to you.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain for this model year.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist require the EX trim. A surround-view camera system and a blind-spot camera system are on EX+ models, while reserve parking collision avoidance assist is reserved for SX.
• Infotainment: LX, LX+, and EX trims get an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12-speaker Bose premium audio system is added on SX.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 9.0 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.7 L/100 km combined. The test-drive average was 11.4 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, LX+, EX, EX+.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-back choice. You get the Carnival’s core style and space, but you miss standard heated seats and a heated steering wheel, so it makes sense mainly if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• LX+: This is the best-value trim if you want a more comfortable daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder. It adds the heated-seat and heated-steering-wheel equipment that the base LX lacks, while keeping the simpler infotainment setup.
• EX: This is the smart step-up if safety equipment matters to you. It adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist.
• EX+: This is the trim to target if you want the most useful convenience upgrades before the top model. It adds the surround-view camera system and blind-spot camera system, which make the Carnival easier to place in tight spaces.

The safety package expands meaningfully as you move up the range, so trim choice has a real impact on what you get.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,166 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $37,177 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,534 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Carnival has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier to attract interest when you eventually sell. A softer market today may also mean you need to price competitively if you want a quick sale later.

Its strong value proposition and distinctive styling should help it stand out among family buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), including a “Good” result in several crash tests, but also a “Marginal” rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test and a “Poor” rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors. To get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist, you need to move up to the EX trim. EX+ adds a surround-view camera system and a blind-spot camera system, while reserve parking collision avoidance assist is exclusive to SX.

The mixed IIHS results are the main caveat for used shoppers, especially if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ahead of a 2025-model-year refresh, the 2024 Kia Carnival carries over unchanged.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,562 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,177 CAD average.
• It makes the minivan formula feel more stylish and less obvious.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value story and a well-equipped used minivan, the 2024 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path.
