Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearBrantford, ON

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 10.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 213 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Carnival earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as a seriously good people mover with a stylish design and a powerful engine, while still delivering practical family-vehicle usefulness. The trade-offs are clear: it does not offer all-wheel drive or hybrid options, and Kia does not make folding the seats easy.

For shoppers who want minivan space without a plain, utilitarian feel, the Carnival’s distinctive look and strong driving experience are major strengths. The market also shows 31.5% good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding value.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival’s 5-year, 100,000-kilometre limited comprehensive warranty, including the powertrain, adds reassurance for used buyers. Its powertrain is described as refined, with smooth and quick shifts and a V6 that does its work without complaint, which supports confidence in everyday use.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that mixed safety performance and the lack of hybrid or all-wheel drive alternatives may limit its appeal compared with some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX and LX+ models get cloth seats, EX and EX+ models get leatherette upholstery, while SX trims get real leather upholstery. The base LX does not come with standard heated seats or a heated steering wheel, so you’ll need LX+ if those matter to you.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain for this model year.
• Safety package: Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors are standard. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist require the EX trim. A surround-view camera system and blind-spot camera system come on EX+ models, while reserve parking collision avoidance assist is reserved for SX.
• Infotainment: LX, LX+, and EX trims get an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but CarPlay and Android Auto become wired. The SX adds a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 9.0 on the highway, and 10.7 combined. An indicated 11.4 L/100 km average was recorded in testing.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, LX+, EX, EX+, SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is best if you want the lowest starting price and can live without standard heated seats or a heated steering wheel.
• LX+: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the comfort features missing from LX, including heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
• EX: This is the smart step up if you want a more complete safety package, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and front parking sensors.
• EX+: Choose this if you want the added camera technology, including the surround-view camera system and blind-spot camera system.
• SX: This is the most fully equipped version, with the 12.3-inch touchscreen setup, 12-speaker Bose audio, real leather upholstery, and reserve parking collision avoidance assist.

For safety equipment, note that several driver-assistance features are not standard until you move up from the base trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 213 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,316 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $37,316 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,588 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer market often means future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens again.

Even so, the Carnival’s strong value proposition and distinctive styling should help it remain appealing to family buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), with Good ratings in the driver and passenger-side small-overlap front crash tests, and in the original versions of the moderate-overlap front and side tests. However, it also received a Marginal rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test and a Poor rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, forward collision avoidance assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors are standard. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, junction turning collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, and safe exit assist require an upgrade to EX, while EX+ adds a surround-view camera system and a blind-spot camera system. SX is needed for reserve parking collision avoidance assist.

The mixed IIHS results are the main safety caveat to keep in mind when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged ahead of a 2025 refresh, with a strong driving experience and affordable starting price.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,413 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,316 CAD average.
• It makes the minivan formula feel more stylish and less obvious.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-market value, strong equipment, and a distinctive family-hauler personality, the 2024 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly route and still delivers the Carnival’s core appeal.
