Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and that lines up with its appeal as a mainstream SUV that still puts off-road ability front and centre. In Canada, standard four-wheel drive and multiple 4WD systems give you flexibility, while the broad trim range lets you choose between a more practical family setup and a more premium-feeling one. If you want an SUV that balances everyday usefulness with capability, this model year fits that brief well. 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Grand Cherokee’s standard four-wheel-drive setup and established V6 powertrain suggest a familiar ownership experience rather than a risky one. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly and checked carefully, especially given the model’s overlap with earlier production timing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,288 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $42,386 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,297 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and choose a desirable trim, you may still benefit from steady demand. The broad appeal of the Grand Cherokee’s capability and premium feel should help support interest from future buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with a lower average price than last year and you value the current model’s standard four-wheel drive and broad trim range, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby older year may be worth considering, but the 2024 gives you a strong mix of capability, features, and current-market value.
