Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, and it backs that up with a blend of everyday SUV usability and off-road capability. In Canada, it comes with standard four-wheel drive, and you can choose from several 4WD systems depending on how much traction hardware you want. It also spans a wide range of trims, so you can shop for something relatively straightforward or move up to a more luxurious setup with features like Active Driving Assist and a front passenger entertainment screen.

With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Grand Cherokee is still fairly new, which means many used examples should feel modern and have relatively limited age-related wear. Its current-generation setup also gives you a familiar V6, an available 4xe plug-in hybrid, and a broad trim spread, so you can choose a version that fits your needs without stepping far outside the model’s core strengths.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a newer SUV before depreciation has fully settled.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 394 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,739 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $55,739 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,775 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. Because the Grand Cherokee remains desirable for its mix of comfort, capability, and trim variety, well-kept examples should continue to attract shoppers. If you choose a version with the right equipment and avoid overpaying now, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine and updated styling.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want a proven, well-rated Grand Cherokee with softer pricing and plenty of inventory to compare. If you are price-sensitive, keep an eye on the 2025 market first; if you want the newest mechanical update, the 2026 is the one to cross-shop.

How does the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee compare to the 2025 Ford Explorer?

The Grand Cherokee costs more on average, but it also has slightly more listings and a marginally higher share of good or great deals. The Explorer brings a lower average used price and stronger fuel economy figures, so it may suit you better if value and efficiency matter more than Jeep’s off-road focus.
