How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 8.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 121 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, and they also value its attractive pricing compared with other trucks. The Ridgeline is especially appealing if you want a practical daily driver that feels easy to live with rather than a hard-edged pickup.

The main trade-offs are its irritating transmission and unimpressive towing capacity. It also makes the most sense if you prioritise comfort, easy-to-use technology, and practicality over traditional truck credentials.

With 25.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market choice if you are shopping carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with comfort and practicality helping it feel like a vehicle you can count on over the long term. The expert evaluation also describes it as easy to drive and live with, with a robust V6 that supports everyday dependability.

Honda’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Ridgeline’s age shows in some areas, so you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2024 Ridgeline comes in Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The Sport now gets standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the TrailSport adds an off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, underbody protection, and exclusive paint. The Black Edition adds extra convenience and audio upgrades.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and torque-vectoring AWD. It is smooth and quick on the road, but towing and off-road ability are not its strengths.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Sport also adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 7-inch digital display in the gauge cluster. The system is quicker and easier to use than before, though the screen still feels a little small.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 11.6 L/100 km combined driving, or 11.5 L/100 km for non-TrailSport models.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the best-value choice if you want the full 2024 tech and safety update without paying for extras. It gets the new 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and the added blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking and most off-road-focused Ridgeline. It adds the off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, underbody protection, and exclusive styling touches, but it is still best suited to light-duty adventure rather than serious trail work.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with SiriusXM, HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium sound system. It makes sense if you want the most feature-rich Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and the Sport now benefits from the same core tech upgrades as the pricier trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 121 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,443 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $47,673 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,176 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. The Ridgeline’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help support demand, especially among buyers who want comfort and everyday usability.

If you own one for the long term, condition and trim choice will matter a lot when it comes time to sell. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should be easier to move than higher-mileage trucks with visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns an Acceptable score in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test and a Marginal rating for its headlights. It earns five-star ratings across the board except for rollover resistance, where it scores a four-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Sport also adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The main caveat is that the ADAS can feel a bit intrusive at times, and the IIHS results show that the Ridgeline’s age is starting to show in some crash-test areas.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a new TrailSport trim, updated tech, and more standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,699 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,673 CAD average.
• It is a strong daily driver with exceptional practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $51,343 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,673 CAD average.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with character and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Ridgeline, the 2024 is the better pick thanks to its added TrailSport trim and tech improvements. If price matters most, the 2023 is the value play, while the 2025 is worth considering only if you prefer its newer listing and are comfortable paying more.
