Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Honda Odyssey, and it fits a minivan built around practicality without feeling stripped down. The Odyssey’s appeal is in its family-friendly equipment, roomy and flexible cabin, and long-established reputation for comfort and durability. Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The 2024 Honda Odyssey is described as a comfort-focused family minivan with an emphasis on structure and refinement, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that early-generation issues such as electrical glitches, infotainment problems, and transmission concerns make a careful test drive and maintenance history especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 210 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,488 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,488 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,064 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,745 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,488 CAD average.
• It adds updated tech, including a new digital driver display and refreshed infotainment.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want the strongest mix of price and availability. If you care more about newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the cleaner upgrade; if you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter buy.
